TopHalf -- a social experiment

I'm starting a new alliance called TopHalf. Instead of specific point totals for each PvP Season, the requirement to stay in the alliance will be:

1) Score in the top 10 (of 20 members) of the Alliance.
OR
2) Score at least half the points of the #1 person in the Alliance.

I figure that Rule 1 will clear out a lot of casual players, and Rule 2 will prevent people from being booted if they make some effort.

You might think that a super hardcore person might join to screw with the ratings and get 10 people booted since no one can match even half his score. But if he's playing with so many people who are far below him, he'll be missing out on rewards he could have gotten from a more serious alliance.

Our current top members have a (nerfed) 200+ Xforce and a number of 166 3*'s. They get about 4-6k per season.

Any thoughts on whether this will work? I made the alliance public, so feel free to join.

    4-6k wont get u in a top 100 alliance at the end of the season unless u are already in 1 so your top half is still slackin bro

    Update: after we filled our roster, we're ranked in the top 300 for Season XIV.

    I do realize an average score of 4k per person (80k alliance total) won't put us in the top 100 for those shiny 4* rewards, but it'll be nice to place in the top 250 for ISO and HP, and not feel we're being dragged down by inactive players.

    At the end of Season XIII, a group of players from a casual alliance decided to form a new alliance with simple rules to keep active players and remove inactive ones. We would keep the top half of our roster each PvP season as well as anyone who scored half of our top player's score.

    We tried this for Season XIV which just ended yesterday. The result was that we finished #243, in the 101-250 bracket with rewards of 3 Heroic tokens, 500 ISO, and 25 HP. Going forward, we are keeping 13 of our 20 players, and now have 7 spots open.

    We're looking to build a strong and consistent player base for the upcoming PvP season, and for special events like Ultron. It feels good to have everyone participate, and not be held back by inactive players on your alliance roster.
