Elektra's Shadow Step still does 1 damage

I just played the node to enter the final sub of Enemy of the State, and had some Elektra Shadow Step traps out when a countdown tile went off which should have dealt zero damage I believe, but to my surprise there was a red '-1' in the upper left corner. Happened a few more times during the match, not really a big deal to be honest just making a report because it seems to be wrong.

In the description it says 'the damage is negated' not 'reduced to 1' so I would think there would be no damage dealt at all. I would think it's a bug, but maybe someone can say if this is working as intended?
