Known Issues Sticky

Just wondering if a moderator could make a sticky post in either this forum or the news forum about Known Issues or something along those lines that can be updated so we can look in ONE place for vital information about ongoing issues? Or I guess you could just make a single post per issue. Some communication is better than none.

Part of the problem that I see is from my standpoint is the dev's either don't address the issue so that WE know that YOU know its an issue. Even if you say, working as intended or this is a bug and will be fixed in the next event. It gives me some idea that you are at the very least acknowledging the perceived issues from the playerbase. Otherwise we have no idea what is going on.

It's hard to see when the dev's respond to posts about whats going on. They can get buried fast.

It would also allow the forums to be used to disseminate the information to everyone very easily instead of wading through 20 pages to find an answer about an issue from the dev's.

So for example it could look something like this.

Thick As Thieves Event:

1. Enemy scaling issue- Will be fixed in next event
2. Rubberbanding- Working as intended
3. whatever else

Pvp:

Matchmaking still an issue.- Will be fixed
Matches for zero points- Will be fixed in next update..

etc

I'm telling you they really should do this so everyone can benefit. The amount of threads going right now are off the charts and everyone asking the same thing over and over. Unless you follow every thread, you could miss out on vital info.

Just wondering why you can't put this stuff in a sticky in the news section so EVERYONE can see it since it's the OFFICIAL part of the forums that only you can post to? It would save everyone time instead of reading through all the posts of complaints to find out if something is going on or not.

Either complaints are valid and it's a bug or its working as intended. Not knowing is the part thats very frustrating. So if its NOT working as intended why not at least post it? You say you want to communicate better, then why not make it easier to see Current Issues and KNOWN issues.

Even if I see everyday, that you're tweaking something, it shows you guys are on top of it instead of throwing up an event thats broken for the second week in a row and then just not say anything until days later.

So IS the scaling issue fixed for sure now?

Sticky the information please for everyone's benefit.

    As for your questions Typhon:
We implemented server side fixes to scaling that help out for future events and for those people that had not yet begun Heroic 4. The change isn't retroactive and can't be set as such without causing issues with the running of the Event. It wasn't in Patch Notes because it's not something that affects any real portion of the user base. We make server side changes tweaking PVP matchmaking and such constantly as we find better ways of matching people and closing loopholes that enable the system to be warped. If we set them in Patch Notes, you'd see a line nearly every day stating "Tweaked matchmaking algorithm", which isn't useful to anyone.

I'm not so sure that we broke the game in any permanent way, so I'm not sure that there's anything to quickly fix or it's all gone. The biggies lately were the Thor/Wolverine changes, Boost changes, and the scaling in PVE. Thor/Wolverine wasn't a mistake and we're seeing very good fallout from it in regards to roster diversity and player engagement. Boost changes were explained in the announcement thread and we've acknowledged that there were communication issues there. Scaling in PVE has also been acknowledged in multiple threads and will be getting better moving forward, including changes already made.
  • No "red" tracker, no known issues posts. In that little post explaining boost changes they said they know their communication isn't good enough, and that they'll get better. So, start getting better, guys.

On topic: Sometimes for whatever reason my game crashes at the very start of a match. It's not a big deal, but it counts as a loss. So I lose rating and all my characters are down in health. Is there anything that can be done here?
