PvP Late join / zero points

I have joined last PvP really late, just few minutes before the end. I wanted to make at least one fight, but didn't manage to finish it before the event was closed.
Just after joining PvP you are always placed on the brackets leaderboard so I expected that even with 0 points I am still able to receive any rewards, but I got nothing.

So my question is: should I receive any rewards according to my placement even if I didn't finish any fight and had 0 points?

You are right, but then I ask why would I have a placement on the leaderboard if it gives no reward?
I found it a little confusing.

Late joining is kind of gambling - gambling is a way of achieving some benefits based just on your luck.

Nevertheless in my opinion you shouldn't be put on the leaderboard if you are not able to get a reward for your placement. So you should be placed after the first match/win/what is the real condition...
But ok, nevermind, I just wanted to know if this bug or not.

Then you should log a support ticket and ask the question there. I think if you were ranked in the event you should receive the rewards for that ranking.
