Combined Arms - Only seed teams?

When I started playing Combined Arms (final slice, joined late,) I didn't have any seed teams. Played and won then skipped around the other matches. I got all beginning level seed teams. I played some, and it kept being seed teams as my only opponents. As I won, the point totals went down (all would be 10 points, then 9 points, etc). I skipped a bunch, no avail, still all seed teams. I'm up to 266 points, #62 in my bracket and only 9 point seed matches

The same thing was happening to me. Wasn't even able to make it to 300 for the heroic token because of the low point offerings.
