Slice 5 - 3 Crewsaders in top 10 so prob a vet bracket (I'd be a definite pve vet except last event I only did half max progression due to Ultron)
    899 people
    Leader JerNat on 66341

I'm 375th after a clear. Don't need progression She-Hulk or MoStorm so gonna take it easy and just grab iso / event tokens. Needed a break after Ultron anyways!

I just joined a slice 4 and it is at 917. There is a good chance I am not in a vet bracket as I was in the 200 to 300s in the last few pves though when there was new characters in a row all top 50 or lower.
  • Any slice 2 update would be much appreciated!
  • Hello. Has slice 4 filled yet? Thx!

Exciting news! Slice 2 vet at 759... *yawn* I'm tired of checking this thing, seriously. This bracket has been open from the first day.
  • Any thoughts on the next one that will fill? How long ago did slice 1 "fill"? My post clock is all wacky
  • I joined slice 1 as #85. After a clear of the Hell's Kitchen nodes I am #13 in the sub with and 4k. In my main #1 is Mr Stoat with 34k. Just how exactly does someone get so many points in a relatively new bracket? It's not like I joined as #200+ to assume the slice has been open for so long. To be clear, I'm not saying this is fishy, just that join time is more important than it should. At this point, I bet even professional athletes have more relaxed schedule than MPQ players. On this front, MPQ is the worst game I have ever played. Thankfully, I am a strictly f2p player because paying for this experience would suck.

I joined Slice 1 at 869. So... go for it at your own risk. That said, it looks pretty inactive so far.

That's because it's at such a **** time slot. That's noon for those of us in EDT, I only picked it because it was better than the other time slots. I am really going to miss the old slice 3 time (6 EDT).

steven - who is the leader in there? is it the same MrStoat slice?

looking for a fresh slice and there's conflicting info on S1, so any info on any slice would be awesome (would prefer 2-5, but take what I can get at this point). had no chance at keeping up ultron, pvp, ddq and this, so this one was put on hold. ready to dive in any time today though.

    Thanks in advance.

The bracket opened with 4hrs or so to go in the previous sub, so 30k of those points came from grinding down the nodes at the end. I think 1 clear of the previous sub gave approx. 13k points so there were a ton of points up for grabs.
  • I joined Slice 1 Vet this morning at 8:00, and started at 98. Top is Mr. Stoat (^^^^^ =c) ) with 34,666. There is currently 110 people in the bracket. You won't make top 10 in this bracket, but you can probably still get top 50 if you run it out. Sounds like they now have multiple brackets filling at the same time in every slice (used to just be slice 4 and 5). So I don't think there is any guarantees for late joining anymore. May be a 50-50 shot at getting a newly announced fresh bracket at best. (Maybe look for a slice where all reports are close to flipping and wait until both flip, but still a risk).

So is the whole multiple open brackets per slice a new thing for this event, or something that I've been lucky enough to avoid so far? It seems like yet another way to coddle lower level players at the expense of veteran players by pushing all the vets into one bracket.

Multiple open brackets per slice have been a thing in PVE for a few months now.

Basically you either start right at the start of a PVE or you take a _huge_ gamble.
They really want the playerbase to spend more time on MPQ than on their jobs.

Yeah, that'll teach me to spend a weekend away with friends and family.

    MPQ is serious business.
Your only family shall be your alliance.
There are no friends, only points on the leaderboards.

Just getting back from a weekend away with the missus. Any update on either veterans's slice 1 or slice 4?

    Many thanks
