Attacks while shilded

Just a quick question on PVP shielding. I was playing Steve Rogers PVP and it was really hard to get 500-600 points due to lots of attacks. Once I got to 500 points I made a break for about two hours during which lost over 170 points (it was like 12 attacks). When I later eventually shielded having almost 600 points I was attacked only 3 times and it's been 6 hours now. Is that just a coincidence or shielding somehow affects appearing as a potential target to other players? It's quite hard to believe that without shield I would get only 3 attacks when it's just 8 hours to the end of my time slice.

When you are shielded, you are not shown to other players looking for a match-up. The hits on your shield are from people who found you before you shielded.

People can queue you up between shields as well.
