Is it meant more for players with really powerful rosters?

My experience so far, you start by playing the first 3 available to you - usually very weak easy threesomes, then you hit the wall… You collect the iso and token and that’s it…

Why would you play a hard (or even equal) opponent? It only only waste your heroes' health (when you can be using them towards an event or tournament) and it seems like Lightning Rounds offers little reward in return…

I’ve never opened a Lightning token but from what I see, the odds of even the featured characters are at 1%… And the iso rewards are more or less pocket change…

Yah, it is a free-for-all, not a lot of MMR tied into it. There has to be something, because I don't see sub-94 teams (minus the loaner) much anymore that I am transitioning.

The freebies are where you start, and that is only if you join right away...wait and you won't even get those. Just count LRs as a way to gain ISO. There used to be a 3* reward, but now just tokens. The LR tokens have a slightly higher draw rate for the featured characters, but otherwise, just a special heroic token.

However, LRs are wonderful way to earn 2* covers. And again, ISO.

If you start at the very beginning, you can frequently get to 185 points or so with just the seed teams. That's been enough for me to get top 100 and a heroic token fairly frequently lately.

As long as you are in event immediately, and sit on event for about an hour before actually starting. I've actually found it much, much easier to get the T100 this way, the points needed to do so are much lower. The downside is if you are camping and the game forces a reset on you (like yesterday's 3rd round), your seed teams would disappear.

I am so, so sorry to all those who are hitting (or trying to hit) my all either 166's or 140's (usually maxed covered) boosted characters, which is all I use in these. I feel for you, being forced into attacking that team to get T100. I usually find time to push at the beginning and never look at it after I'm out of the seed teams. I feel bad putting out the 249/210/210/210/191 depending on round, feel bad for those trying to go up against that and then have health to continue on.

You know what would be really fun and avoid all the problems I've listed (resets, seeds disappearing, needing to use only boosted characters, fighting really hard teams for T100...)? If we fought nothing but seed teams the entire time. I would actually really enjoy that. It would also fix the "more often, I need more ISO!" problems (although so would 24/7 LR's....).

I could fight harder teams before but rarely took the time to do it. Every change has taken the "lightning" part out of these LR's. Long ago characters boosted in level: takes much longer to fight loaner 60 rather than loaner level 1. More recently characters boosted in health: these take even longer. MMR to only fight "equal" teams - forces you into incredibly long fights. I'd much rather see the fast lightning rounds.
