3 times now i have had Cy do full Blast (13 black) when they have 10 stones. 8 stones and once even with 6 stones

The AP counter for the AI team is not updated until the end of its turn. If the AI manages to create a cascade with an ability (possibly with a match-5 too) and retain turn control afterwards, they will be able to use the AP they earned during the turn, even though the counter will not show the new amount of AP they have on hand. In most cases, this will explain for how an AI controlled Cyclops can activate Full Blast with less than 13 black AP. His Optic Blast and Mutant Revolutionary may have generated a cascade that produced enough black AP to use Full Blast for example.0

I find strange circumstances when I face Doom. I play with Doom a hell of a lot so I know the sort of time length it generally takes to be able to fire off his moves, and I swear, the AI manage to fire them off in what seems like half the amount of time.0

AI controlled Doom always seems to get his Pink off with far less than the required AP for me to cast it. And it always seems to kill one of my team members so it has to have at least 5 traps down but it is impossible for it to have placed 5 traps and still amassed enough Pink AP to cast it - very frustrating.
Last night, I watched a team of lvl 100 heros (Iron Fist was one of them) take down a lvl 100 Hulk (11k life) in two turns due to fairly ridiculous cascades. Every match I play sees my 166 LThor and BP whittled down to half life (facing lvl 94 or lower opponents), they have changed LThor's yellow to separate the greens it creates more than it used to (I could always count on at least one or two green matches - in the last 2-3 weeks, it has been the norm to not get any matches).
All this illustrates to me is that the developers/distributors don't want us to be able to play for that long without having to spend some kind of $$$ and it has made the game much less enjoyable for me...0 -

I have noticed this as well, firing off his yellow used to almost guarantee a few matches, and a crit match, now i fire it, wait and nothing happens.. they are just far enough apart to not do much.
Not every time though, but way more than it used to.
In DDQ, i can usually fire it off twice on the last round, the 2nd one makes the board explode, so no complaints there.0 -

also not sure why AI gets moves cheaper. was playing agaisnt
black widow, ares and some shooter dude her moves were 5 and 8 while when i use her they were 10 and 110 -

depends on how they cover the opposing character. sometimes they'll put a 2 purple cover obw out there which is cheaper cost but only takes 2 ap each and they always seem to have have 5 covers on ares green which can be fired with 5 instead of 6.0 -
sometimes with no warning the enemy team will combine into Mecha-Batman and instantly have 1000 AP in a new color that previously didn't exist in life/nature which the game just invented right there on the spot and then it'll do that popular Batman move where he screams and bats come out of his mouth and they get tangled in my team's hair and they freak out and die instantly. **** this cheating game!! I'm "totally quitting, for real this time!!!" ( <-- to quote 90% of the responses to any character update thread)0

Funny, I have noticed that when I fire off Thunder Strike lately, when the dust settles, I have about 15 green and 2 critical tiles, so I Call a Storm to water down that dust.
Maybe I'm an optimist and you guys are pessimists and confirmation bias is working according to our world views.0 -

For me, it used to work the way you just described it - over the last three weeks not so much...
Will get my 5th yellow cover in DPD this week, then i hope it is simply the 1 cover difference when i stopped using my 2* Thor vs now using my 3Thor.0 -

In the last day I've seen a few matches where the AI fires off a special ability even though they're short of AP for the ability, including one match where the AI did have enough for the ability the first time it used it, but for the next two round he used the ability again, even though they didn't match that colour or have any cascades that could possibly warrant it. This is while playing Simulator and obviously not against goons.0 -
This is a glitch that seems to have been in the game for....a month or so, I want to say? I haven't seen it myself but there have been topics in the bug report forum fairly regularly. The AI uses a single move over and over on consecutive turns despite not meeting the conditions for it. AFAIK the devs haven't acknowledged the pattern.0

I know it's glitching on other things too, for example, the AI was playing Mystique and she shape shifted to Modern Hawkeye, and she stayed as MHawkeye even after her CD tile was matched away. In that stuck form, she was not using any of her attacks despite having AP for them. It was really weird, I have a screen shot of it on my phone.
I don't doubt people's claims of AI shooting off abilities without AP, as it is pretty glitchy at the moment.0 -

Even Doom + Mystique is dangerous because her blue feeds both their damaging skills. Your only hope there is that the AI chooses Doom's blue; which just creates a nasty black cascade.
I've kind of decided I'm just not taking on those nodes any more unless I really have to. They were designed without Doom's pink in mind, and could use a rethink.0
