'New' MPQ: The antidote for addiction?

This whole 'new' game thing may actually do us all a favour.
I am not a really long term player, but have been having some late nights on this game, rattling through early stages of lightning rounds, clearing PvE runs, taking on PvP battles, only finishing when health packs ran out. Like a true addict, I bought some XForce covers, and a few 3* ones just to get working and winning a bit faster. Cap and Blade. Yum.

Maybe I was getting a bit addicted. Thinking about the game when not playing, hurrying home to get on my wifi for the latest DDQ etc. Maybe, a bit.

Now the 'new' game has solved it. No longer am I bothered, or even capable, of grinding out PvE for that all elusive cover.
No longer can I get above 300 in PvP without losing all my health quickly. Even the lightning rounds are so hard, I can barely get to 100. And with my XForce castrated, everything seems so much tougher. Games are getting longer, and my interest wanes. Easier to put down the ipad and wander into the sunshine. As summer approaches, I have my garden to look after, and spend my MPQ budget on.

So fair play. The game gets tiring without the "wham bam thank you mam" gameplay, making it easier to not be addicted. And not playing as much, not spending as much and getting a tan. Result!

  • I think you're onto something... this is all a D3P designed INTERVENTION. Hmmmm, they would be the first developer to do an intervention for their own game, but there's a first time for everything I guess.

In all seriousness though, I understand what you're feeling. I feel my interest waning as well.

    "DING!"

Oops, gotta go. My node refresh timer just went off. MAXIMUM POINTS, BABY!
