Vladdy asks: Peaceful climbing

With the reduced point loss when losing (or retreating) it is now possible to climb to about 800 without even doing one battle (maybe seed teams, ok). The more people are helping with that the better it works. But even only 2 people can make it, if they find each other often enough and want to invest the iso for skipping.

Just a theory (not possible or gonna happen, I know): Let's assume not only 2, 5 or 10 people or a whole alliance or complete alliance group is doing this, but ALL players are doing this. Unless I am wrong or dumb, it would be possible for everyone to get to 800+ without even fighting. There could be a rule that everybody has to retreat and not fight the first 24h or something like that. I am just mad, I know.

Ok, the question:

Would that be fun?

Wish retreat exploiting wasn't part of the game as it completely goes against the spirit of pvp.

I don't have a fun solution to offer either. People could just as easily play matches to death rather than retreat if they wanted. People could boost sub alliances (or truce alliances) if we prevented direct alliances from being paired against each other.

The only fix I'm seeing is to remove all point gain from a defensive win...but where's the fun in that?

    Is this really an exploit?

Boosting other's points by retreating was there even before they reduced the point loss. And trust me they know that it existed and currently exists. No secret at all.

My question is more about that constructed assumption that everybody would do it. Not about the fact that it is possible at all. I am unbiased, really.
