Who should eat my iso?

In the last episode I asked about a good team looking at my already maxed characters. This time I would like to know who to level up next (after the "iso-cost-change" patch R75). Easy question, right?

My alliance is "The Best II". You can see my roster there, if you like.

I am not Moby **** who seems to be able to produce iso while flushing the toilet. So I am more focussed on 3* currently.

But seriously, with the leveling cost reductions, if you can stand to hoard it until that patch hits, wait. Over that time, the new meta should start to show, and then you can decide.

Captain America (for PVE)
R&G is great all around
Luke Cage
Black Panther (maybe wait until you get that 5th black)
Loki (if you actually want to use him in PVP, you'll need to max him, too squishy otherwise)

I forgot to mention that I am not playing PvE currently.
My Loki is 5/4/4, I thought having 5 green is mandatory, no?
I've waited for that 5th BP black for my whole life (maybe somewhat shorter).
I looked at Luke Cage too already but want to know what you guys think. .

I feel like I'm the only person who read in the character changes announcement that the reduction in ISO needed to level up characters was only going to apply to the lower levels. So if you have characters you've already leveled and you want to continue to level you probably don't gain anything by waiting.

I rolled 4 green until the last PvE where I got it for progression. It's still usable. I wasn't gonna purchase that last green (grabbed it during my hiatus and stacking HP for 3 months) but it was gonna either have to come from a PvP or DDQ reward. I lucked out.

You probably won't save all that much ISO as your 3*'s are mostly level 120 but I agree with waiting if you can. As for actually answering your question it's difficult to do so because none of us REALLY know what the meta shift is going to be with all these changes...particularly the health ones.

That said, I consider the following characters worthy of attention on your roster:
1) Captain America: Level 120 - Max
He's a PvE god when it comes to scaled opponents and outrageous health pools. His potential to help with the climb in PvP is high as well for the same reasons.

2) Magneto: Level 120 - Max
This guy is seriously fantastic and continues to pair beautifully with XF giving you plenty of offensive colour coverage and TONS of board shake for free AP gain. There are plenty of others to pain him with as well since having strong red and blue offensive options aren't that common in this game.

3) Cyclops: Level 120 - Max
As far as single target damage dealers go he's among the best. The ability to generate red AP make him pair nicely with other characters (like Captain America) or just to power himself. Iron Fist is his best friend when you get to that point. Some might consider him better than XF but I don't. He's still a nice powerhouse though.

4) Rocket & Groot: Level 120 - Max
This one is tough to recommend. On one hand the character is FANTASTIC and practically unkillable. On the other hand he's about as slow as it gets in this game. I'm thinking that strike tiles will become more important in this game when up against teams of 40,000+ health and Groot provides the best strike tiles in the game. You've got his most popular and common build of 535 but I personally prefer mine as 355. His green actually becomes pretty decent if you let it build up beyond 10. Use it as a finisher or desperate enemy tile clear. He gets the job done either way though since he's there to tank and generate strike tiles.

Honourable Mentions:
Luke Cage and Blade. Blade fits naturally with your daken/falcon as a fun PvE team. Cage works best with Iron Fist I find. He's a strong all around character but I think he offers slightly less than the above recommended characters.

At 4 green covers, Loki is already pretty effective. 5 would better of course
Luke Cage for climbing in PVP is nice, saves match damage and a rare powerful yellow.

Will keep this to PVP since you mentioned you dont PVE.
Cage - as mentioned above, very useful, pairs well with IF. In my opinion, near the top of 3* characters because of the damage prevention. Yellow also isnt bad at 5 covers..
Cyclops - with the impending XF nerf, Cyclops gets a boost because his black is so strong and possibly the strongest single target damage now. Pairs well with Cap and IF.
Loki - Very solid because of that board shakeup and AP steal.

It seems Cage and Loki are solid choices to me. I am not sure if Cyclop's black will be really better than X-Force's. I guess we will find out very soon.
