Determining Who is Lead When Buffs Exist

So I know who the lead attacker for a color will be when no character is buffed since that is based on whoever has the most damage in my team for a given color.

Since you have changed from showing a buffed percentage to just an icon it has become difficult to determine which character will takeover as the lead for a color.

My best example is in the current Thick as Thieves tourney. I have a 70ish Hulk who I want to have the lead for green tile matching (so I can hopefully have his black passive activate when he gets hit) but instead a lvl 15 Patch has the lead for green because he is buffed .... effectively making my Hulk useless and I end up losing the round.

It would be nice to somehow know who is going to be the main attacker per color when buffs are involved

You can check tile damage on buffed characters before playing a round, by pressing the Info button in the fight screen.
