Roster Advice

I'm pretty deep in on this game (day 324), but I've never spent HP on an ability. I've spent all of mine on roster spots. However, I've finally gotten a bunch of three stars close to covered, and I want to buy TWO abilities. So here is my question:

I have:

LThor at 333
Patch at 442
Hood at 534

What would be the best two abilities to buy? I basically play everything the game has to offer, so I'm not trying to build for specifically PVE or PVP. I play them all, although PVE has been a huge waste of time lately, since my scaling is ridiculous. Any help at all would be much appreciated. Thanks, everyone!

    Ouch. I'm not sure two covers would be enough to get you up and running since you are a bit away from the optimal build (Thor 3/5/5, Hood 5/5/3, Patch 5/3/5 och 3/5/5).
    If you HAVE TO buy two covers NOW, I suggest going with two Hood covers, making him 5/5/3. Don't level him up though since he is squishy enough as it is.
    Otherwise, you could wait to see if you can get any Thor covers from Hostile Takeover or the mandatory Lord of Thunder tournament after that. Make sure you have 5 yellow though, that is without question his best ability as it deals premium damage in a rare color and helps fuel his big finisher move.

    What I would add to this advice is to keep DDQ in mind when making these decisions. Patch red is just two days away; Hood blue is six days away; Thor yellow is eight days away. If you can get Thor covers from Hostile Takeover, then there you go. If you can't, I'd say if you're buying two covers they should be Hood blue and Thor yellow. Enjoy suddenly feeling a lot more powerful in a little over a week!

    patch needs 5 yellow, period, so youre really not close there. there should be a few thor covers coming shortly between pve and ddq plus the current pvp (kingpin), so you should certainly hold off there. the only alternative left is hood, who is vaulted, so if you feel the need to buy two covers, those would be the ones given what you have put forth.

    Thanks so much, everyone. I had totally forgotten to take DDQ into account, so thanks for the heads up there. I have a bunch more 3-stars that are covered, or fairly close to covered, but those three seem to be the ones that everyone loves/recommends. Again, I really appreciate the advice.

    yes, if you can take thor to 3/5/3 (or 4/5/3 if you manage the pvp cover, good luck with that) and hood to 5/5/3, you would see a remarkable increase in ability power/ap steal in the next 10 days. if you have enough iso to immediately push them up, I'd do it. I did a similar thing last season but was a step behind you where i started and my pair was Lthor and Loki. it helped me tremendously last season but with the new mmr seems to regressed to not being as helpful now. however, my Lthor is at 4/3/4 which is not specced correctly (tied to how the covers fall now) and Loki is at 4/1/5 now which is good enough but need more health on him. my hood is only at 5/3/- now but he will be my next to push above ~100. if you can get your thor to 4/5/3 and you can level them up my guess is that you should be able to start finishing top 100. will likely require some shielding though, so there's that to manage. if you can finish top 100 and the 575 progression each event, you can use a 3 hr shield at the end and there is no net hp gain/loss. I have found it difficult but you might have a different experience since you have a deeper roster and a better covered thor than i do.
