What topics are not either a suggestion or feedback?

I'm asking, because I just had a topic moved to the suggestions and feedback section. Aren't all topics, other than guides and jokes, a type of feedback for the game?

Feedback about the forums is feedback.

Yeah, I was mostly being facetious. But I couldn't resist ignoring the content and looking only at the topic; it tickled me in a set theory kind of way.

    Heheheh. I'll admit it is a bit riddle-like icon_e_biggrin.gif

What's a bit disturbing though, is that I think that my previous post was moved because it took a sarcastic tone, so a mod decided to bury it in the forum that no one looks in, rather than because it was actually something that belongs in the suggestions and feedback forum. Otherwise, about 95% of the posts currently on the front few pages could be moved there.
  • It is a bit arbitrary, its all in presentation I guess.

Hey ive got this idea that could be awesome

A question is not generally feedback nor a suggestion (though they can be) - they are a request for said things. Feedback and suggestions are practically the same thing, I might add, since suggestions are a type of feedback. icon_lol.gif

Literals aside, I don't personally move topics often.

If someone is asking for technical help, I move it to bugs.

If someone is talking about game improvements/changes/etc, that's game feedback, so that goes there.

General discussion is typically, to me, something like "What can we do to /x/", because while in a round about way, it is feedback, it's primary purpose is to garner focus around the discussion of the topic and not the user's personal feedback. Also, topics like "what's your opinion on /y/", because again, the focus is on the conversation and not the feedback itself.

It's a thin line, and that, coupled with the fact a lot of people tend to complain about it, is why I don't typically move topics, unless it's glaringly obvious it should be someone else (technical feedback, alliance chatter, user generated characters, roster advice, etc).

As an aside, it's probably a pretty wild theory to assume one of the mods moved your thread to make it less visible. Firstly, we've not paid by these guys icon_lol.gif so I got no eggs in their baskets. Second, because if I really wanted to make what you had to say not visible, it is literally as simple as moving the topic to somewhere normal users can't see.
