Can you imagine if everyone joined and played at the beginning of each event? Most people would be scoring 600+ simply because of the extra points being generated with the extra fights. You can retal the same person back and forth and you both keep climbing. This is the change that very few forumites seem to understand. MPQ is giving away points now. Just take them!

I might be confused but that's always existed in some form.

    Correct, but 25% more now.

You'd think this is worse for 2 stars now. I found one late out of all the mess of high level teams and /i hit him over and over again, just kept skipping til I found him again. I hit him so many times I actually dropped his score so low I couldn't see him anymore. Still looking for another to savage but I can't find one. Good job guys. They thought they had it tough before? Absolute feeding frenzy now.

This experience is not restricted to 2*. I was hit 3x by the same player in Fisk's event, and I'm fielding a xf/cmag defense. It's a question of finding targets worth enough points now, rather than what defense you're trying to avoid.

PvP has absolutely become a feeding frenzy indeed. Either shield early and often, or be satisfied with a very low score unshielded.

I dunno about 1000% more. In Hulk and in Daredevil I am seeing way less attacks than in Heavy Metal. That might have something to do with a 290 featured but maybe not.

I hit you this morning in Fisk event. If you feel you're not getting enough attention from other players, I'll be happy to hit you again if I come across you. icon_twisted.gif I try to hit people only once per event, but for you I'll make an exception. icon_lol.gif

To me, player habits have changed. When to push has changed. There is still not enough evidence to support that it is harder to climb besides that. Top 5 alliances still have people posting scores higher than 1300 points after they brought the progression down and added cooldowns to shields. For a while now have I been of the understanding that the last 8 hours of a PvP would become the worst time to even attempt to climb because all your top scorers would be shielded and you wouldn't be mooching off their points. They adjusted to things quite well it seems and throwing money at it just isn't going to get you those type of scores without any sort of planning.

Top alliances are simply coordinating and bouncing off each other for 40+ points per hit. Players like myself, who don't have that sort of support, are left with crumbs for targets worth a handful of points mostly and double digit if we're lucky.

For seasoned players with solid rosters, I'm sure it's still quite a challenge. However, imagine new players trying to get into this game. They'll just give up. D3 is ruining their future by alienating newcomers to their once fun game.

yes and no. I've been coming across a LOT of new players. Imagine seeing, for example, a guy with a fully covered Xavier, fully covered Kamala, 3 colored Fisk, 3 colored Quicksilver, but missing vaulted guys like colossus, punpun, Laken, etc. Clearly a new player, and a whale who spend a ton of $$$ on cover packs to get those covers. If D3 can entice newcomers to continue spending money to play catch up to veteran players, why would the publisher care the vets leave? We know who's going to spend more $$$ in the near future, and it's not the vets.

I just hit 1000 in the current event. That's the third time I've hit 1000 in the last 5 events (Heavy Metal, Blind Justice, Hostile Takeover).
I'm averaging ~950 now, previously I was averaging ~700. Using the same team format as always: 270/166 + Featured.
I thought that I'd been fortunate that the events had all featured character which I already had at max level (Iron Man, Dardevil), especially since I struggled a bit in Teenage Riot, where I didn't have a max level featured.

I'm not part of a strong alliance - I'm often the only person in my alliance with more than 25 points.
I'm not on the LINE chat planning big shield hops with other players in my bracket.
I'm still facing 270/166 + featured or 270/270 + featured straight after the seed teams.
  • Was able to hit 1000 in Kingpin. Overall I'd say I like the changed MMR, but there was a terrible point dessert at 950 which made the match system kick out things like a guy with a 94 OBW 80 Daken for 4 points. ****?

I am at 650 now, amd can only see 3 different players. Ten hours to go. Now if I could beat them, we'd just be trading punches. And considering they are only worth 19 pts, it isnt even worth it. Apparently, 800 progression is entirely out of question.

We need to ne able to see and hit shielded follks to at least broaden the number of targets.

Oh hell no. That would be the worst thing to have happen again. You think PvP is bad now, imaging constantly getting hit while shielded and having no idea when you'll ever be safe to climb again. You don't want to break a shield, do a single match, and come back greeted with 10+ hits because they could still attack you. The average player would drop so fast, they might as well not shield and just continue to drop further.

Not to mention the co-ordination and point diving to lead players for 1st place finishes all with 0 threat because they sit there shielded.

Matching can be improved to avoid point deserts but targeting shields is not the answer you want.

Well not exactly, if I am at 900, get hit for 40 and can retal for 20...

Attacks seem a lot less frequent in Hostile Takeover than they were in the previous ones. I was sitting at around 550 all night without getting hit, which is pretty much identical to before where the first hits started coming when I got close to 600. Climbed to roughly 800 now and only got 2 hits in the time.

The system doesn't seem so bad now.

The Lightning Rounds are quite a thing too.

Longer matches as well, and more changes to get attacked.

Scores are way lower than what they used to. With 250+ you used to end up in the Top 100, now you can make Top 25. Good for the scores, not good for the Iso farming.

More like 20 points per hit I'd wager since 40 point hits would mean one of them was far ahead of the pack and wouldn't have any good targets. Keep in mind that if you are at the top of the scoreboards everyone will be worth less points, so the climb up is quite slow indeed.
I have no idea how much HP/ISO those guys spend to get those insane scores, and I don't think I want to know either. I am grateful they do though since it provides a trickledown effect to everyone else as well.
