Maybe it's a personality thing...

As this is the second F2P game I've really taken to, I feel disappointed that my experience seems to have been repeated.

I am the sort if player who can soak up getting trashed in the early stages of a game, happy in the knowledge that when I get higher level, I can dish out the trashing. And that is what happened here. My roster gradually improved, the impossible
2-3* transition was taking place. Bought a few covers, including xforce, to speed things up a bit, and soon I had magically and wonderfully got to my very first 600 point PvP.

I had preferred PvE initially, cherry-picking winnable matches, but now PvP opened up for me, and in the last season, I enjoyed my gameplay the most since starting about five months ago.

Then the changes happened. PvP matchmaking made getting to 600 impossible again, as winning matches led to loss of health, constantly, and the points stopped coming in. PvE scaling took away the fun. If I can't beat level 220 teams, it seems unlikely I can beat level 320 teams, but those levels kept increasing anyway. Stupid.

Well, I figured, at least I have a respectable xforce who was winning some matches for me, so I could do ok. Until now. Maybe my personality of wanting a game where the better I get, THE EASIER THE GAME IS, doesn't work well in F2P.
Maybe it's time to move on again. *sigh*.

Wait! Does Candy Crush get easier as you go up in levels? Doesn't it get to the point that you need boosts to keep win at a decent rate?

I thought the whole point of the F2P model was to start you out with manageable challenges, but to then steadily increase the difficulty until paying money replaced/supplemented skill? I did read that somewhere. MPQ has elements of that, for sure.

Avoid the "Suggested Games" thread, then. All they are suggesting are other F2P games.
  • Think I got lulled into a false sense of gameplay by watching higher level players beat on me all through my transition. When I get to 'high level' (relatively), the game changes, and I have no-one to beat on. Poor timing, then.
Same happened in other game, when penalties were incurred on higher level players. Just when I got to high level.

    Ah well.
