D3, what is your clear and precise motivation on boosting character health on the 17 ?
This move will make pvp an even a bigger grind... icon_redface.gif

Lower-health characters trade health for stronger powers, but the health penalty they were paying was too large compared to how much stronger their powers were getting. This update lowers the health penalty they pay.

As far as whether they are doing it correctly, that is another question, but I think the reason behind all of their recent changes is quite clear. They want to make more characters usable, to make people more likely to keep prior lower tier characters on their rosters, thus buying more roster slots, thus spending more money on the game. Boosting health makes a lot of characters more usable. It also helps them deal with the power creep lately, since they aren't adjusting damage amounts, but rather health.

I think they are failing to see the other consequence of a move like this, combined with the recent MMR change, in which players will now on average have much longer PvP matches. You will now be unable to get to the same competitive ranking without spending more time, and lets be honest, the top people will still feel obligated to put that time in to get the same scores as before.
