"Check Network Connection" on Steam for Windows

With the MMR and scaling penalizing me for leveling my characters on my iphone account, i figured i would start a game on steam to see if it would be easier.

Installed Steam, installed MPQ, and launched the game... Didn't even get to start the game on steam, i get the Check Internet Connection issue. Unlike the cell phone, i cannot switch to cellular connection to temporarily resolve it. Whats going on?

I can play on my phone, but not on steam on the same wifi connection.

I'm not sure if you're still having this issue, but I logged in and did a quick DDP before replying to this.

I'd check to see if Steam Cloud Sync is enabled.
