What Happens After Nerf...
So, I am frustrated and annoyed... and before I make a "RageQuit" post, I'm going to take some time and really let this stew...
My problem is how the nerfs have been handled. The fact that you, as a company, can change the abilities based on whatever metrics you use is fine, that's your right; however when players have spent real life money to achieve certain characters, based on how their abilities function, there needs to be a way to recomp that. An "increased" buy-back for a single character is not equal to the cost spent to get ahold of 13 different covers and then level the character up fully. I have to sell the entire thing off in one go, I can't re-spec the character to make use of the changes that have been made. I'm also out the opportunities for other characters that I chose not to keep because I needed slots for these characters that I no longer want. So by playing the game as it is presented to me at the time, I am penalized later. Had I never spent money on this game, it wouldn't bother me, but I have, so I am frustrated with this. If I take 37K ISO and 550 HP can I get 13 level 2 covers of the same character? Maybe, but it's not a given. So I'm stuck back at trying to open random draws to get a functional character to compete with. When I've chosen what covers to level and what to drop it's based upon how my main team functions, when that changes it eliminates everything I've been grinding for over the last few months.
On top of that, suddenly more and more things are costing HP rather than ISO. Couple that with horrible customer service (ie: NONE) after my mobile account was wiped two patches ago and was never restored or given a refund from the money spent on that account, and I'm pretty sure I'm done with this money grab. It's a shame, I really enjoyed playing the game and defended it as not being pay-to-win and not being a grind wall... well, so much for that. I can deal with frustration over things, I can deal with feeling "cheated" out of my characters being nerfed, but when I'm dealing with those issues on top of the customer service, it just isn't worth my time.
