New View Roster Option...and Overall Leaderboard

Long-time "guest" on these boards...first time poster...

Thanks to all for the excellent tidbits of knowledge up to this point. I've been playing since October-ish and have really enjoyed this game up until the Divine tourney. It's always good to have a game that reintroduces you to the Marvel Universe in a new way.

I am like most of y'all that are very disappointed with the recent changes to this game. I can no longer find the enjoyment I was able to get by playing for a couple hours at the end of a long workday. (And at lunch...and after my wife would go to bed...and during those prolonged "porcelain library" visits...) Just frustrated with the inability to compete in the current events like I want to. I've been pretty successful in tourneys up to this point, but feel like I'm fighting an extremely uphill battle. My roster is like Gaylord Focker's portfolio..."I would say strong, to quite strong"...

My comment is on the new roster peek option...where you can see your fellow players'/opponent's rosters. I have been very lucky to find myself in 5th place in my overall bracket. I don't expect to stay there for very long with the new changes, though, which stinks because of all the time I have spent on the tourney. Here's the deal...first, third, and fourth place are currently held by guys who have strong rosters. No worries there. BUT...the dude in second place, Moogle_Man, has what I consider to be a really weak roster. His top member is a LV85 Modern Hawkeye, followed by a 62 Ares, and a 53 OBW. All others are below LV42. He has one red Patch cover and one purple Spidey. How can this guy be in second place...with more than 21000 points?! I can't see any way he could be dominating these extremely difficult levels, even if he was boosted out the wazoo, with a roster like that. Even with rubberbanding and the luck of the draw, it's like the guy on Princess Bride says...

Has anybody else used this option and found similar results?

They are either cheating or tanking the hell out of the missions. You can get the missions down to level 40 such that a team like that can do well in the event if you're persistent enough.

I think there's something fishy about this Bacon Magic guy. He seems to be on in every LR I play and the game says the server can't even find his roster.

Noticed that player. Makes no sense how someone could achieve that ranking without cheating. Even buying every boost isn't going to turn that roster into something that should be doing that well.

I've checked the top ten in several brackets. There is no way half of them are where they should be. Also theirrosters look very suspicious. They have like all the covers, but almost no lvls. Anyway I hope dev's ban folks who cheat. I imagine they could catch cheaters winning to quickly, or something.

With this new system of being able to look at the leader boards and the persons team, it will make catching cheaters a lot easier. This is a win-win for both the players and developers. For example, this thread has already called some people out, and I'm sure others have already filed reports over them.

I'm a little worried that the forum people will become obsessed with it. I don't want to see a new thread every day of "This guy must be cheating!"

Also, the more it gets talked about, the more people think "well, everybody is doing it", and the worse things get.

And if the support team gets slammed with tickets about these users I imagine they'll get in to a 'boy who cried wolf' state of mind pretty quick. That is if they even look at them over their own cheater catching tools.

Sorry, my fault. Deadpan & text don't really mix.

I really did click on him just to see what it'd do, but that's more because I like seeing if they've thought of these things and stuck an easter egg in there or something.
