Thoughts? I started picking up covers just for giggles from my local comic shops, had the idea to splash em on my free wall, then put some time in making power tags. it's been fun. icon_e_smile.gif

EDIT:
Progress more! Only missing Modern Widow, Captain America, and Psylocke! (Hulk is in the mail) icon_e_smile.gif

  • If you'd picked any other day to post this, I think you'd have been lauded for your creativity.

However, you picked today. Hope you still get accolades, but I think most of the community isn't feeling especially cheerful or celebratory of the game's elements at the moment.
  • Haha, that's pretty **** cool! I wish I were a big geek so I could do it too. icon_lol.gif (JK!) Seriously, I think it's a really cool idea.

That's fun. Given the tenor of the board tonight (I'm not helping), I expected something much snarkier.

Are any of the covers featured in the game difficult to actually find? I don't know how easy it is to round up old Devil Dinosaur issues, for example.
  • I have 7 or 8 more in the mail, should be here in a few days. Classic Spidey was like an 8 dollar buy, most expensive one thusfar. The Hulk cover they chose is pretty rare, doubt i'll drop the 25ish or so bucks it looks like it goes for, but meh, we'll see.

I feel everyone's pain, but roll with the punches we shall I suppose.

Might be cheating, but you could maybe find a high res copy of the cover online and just pay to get it printed in high quality. Stick it on top of a different comic so it's the same "bulk" as the other covers.

Even if I don't hang them on my wall, it would be pretty cool to own the actual comics. Or at the very least in digital.
  • This is the best thing I have ever seen on this forum. Great idea. It makes me want to dig around at my local comic store to see what I can find!
  • I give you props for that! That's a pretty cool idea. Although myself personally, I probably would just pick my main 3 and stuck with those. But again, that's just me. This is still pretty freakin' sweet!

Now what fun would that be! I've been an avid comic reader anytime in my life I could afford to be reading comics, i'm not slackin out now! And completion isn't the goal, it's the fun of putting it together.

I'll update you guys when my new books come in the mail, thanks for the pats on the back icon_e_smile.gif

    This is crazy cool!
Thank you for providing us with a positive and happy thing in this dark, dark time. 'Tis a beacon of hope to guide us out of this storm!
    But seriously, this is great.

Oh wow, I had just assumed they were good quality print outs and not the actual comics. After hearing that, I'm even more impressed - that actually takes dedication.

Haha, thanks! Like I said, most of them, luckily, aren't expensive, only a few are even that old (late 80s). Most of them came from one store near Detroit that has a sweet back issue collection, it's been a fun past time for me and a friend that play
  • I found the Hulk one on eBay for...25 bucks icon_e_surprised.gif
  • That is awesome icon_exclaim.gif

    Fantastic! Looks great...
  • Yeah, I'm not gonna drop 25 bucks on any comic. 8 for amazing Spider Man 700 was my limit icon_e_smile.gif

But you have to admit it was worth it, right? icon_razz.gif
  • That is very, very cool.

I love the little level tags, well done!
  • Awesome! I noticed there's no Bagman though. icon_e_wink.gif
