Advice with my team please?

So currently I can sell my 5/3/5 max wolvie and level 64 4/5/3 wolvie that I plan on selling. My question is... can I pump enough points into the rest of my team to still do well in Avengers Elite? or should I just try for top 1000 and pump my points into something else?

The rest of my covers are:

Do I have any hope in Avengers Elite without Thorerine?

I´ve been playing the elite, and tbh the teams are not alpha 141 chars teams. Same old regular stuff.

You have enough good chars that you should be fine. I depended a lot on my thor, and now he can´t get it up to save his life.

GSW still rock, though, so they will probably neuter her soon enough.

Hey, you get to sell a fully leveled wolvie AND thor and then get enough to buy ONE power for her, and enough iso NOT to level her to like half her levels. Makes sense.

Gsbw is mediocre until you get 5 green, so id go with punisher.

The 3* characters are interesting now because with the 'only one chance' rule and the boost nerf, you need the apperance of strength as much as actual strength. That is, even if you're some kind of wizard using Hawkeye, Captain America, and Bagman that results in flawless victory in 60 seconds, everyone's still going to think your team is a joke and will be hitting you and your playing wizardry doesn't work on defense. Therefore while I don't think any of the 3* other than Spiderman and Magneto are necessarily that powerful (and both are surely due up for nerfs), you really do want a powerful looking hero to scare other players away.

I can't speak for other players, but it seems like most people decided a high level Hulk is the easiest way to intimidate other players. I'm not sure how intimidating The Punisher is. He is a solid character who seems to be in no danger of being nerfed (he's literally average in just about everything), but I don't know if people view him with the same respect as say, Hulk, when he shows up on the opposing team. Well, you could always have both, but that'd get expensive in a hurry on iso 8s.

That said, she is the best character in the avenger tournements right now and if you have 5 green is worth the ISO I guess.

I think GSBW is more of an offensive specialist. I've never felt threatened by her when she's on defense. It just takes an eternity for the AI to collect 19g, and if she can't get 19g she's simply a low HP 3* that does nothing else, since the AI also puts Deceptive Tactics tiles totally at random.

It´s sad, but that´s a good way of looking at it. I´ve been working towards a perfect spidey, and now I don´t even feel like it, since he is on the nerf queue.

GSW is awesome, and her purple + green right now is working way better than thor´s yellow (his green is at 3). But I know that it´s short lived.

We should assume that wolvie4 and hawkeye will be buffed, and that mags and spidey will taken out back and made to do unspeakable things.

I agree, but now that every other high damage character has been or will be nerfed there is literally only one outlier and that is grey suit. After that..yes..no more nerfs unless a new broken character is made. Asking for 30 buffed characters ..the preferred outcome...just isn't goin to happen. Plus grey suit could do with the green being nerfed and the red being made a viable option finally. She won't be "just buffed" so the only way for the rest to become useable is for the green to be looked at too.

@phantron. Yes, but I feel roughly the same way about magneto. As a marker, I suspect I'm40s blue is more on par with what they want for widow. I don't care that much one way or the other..but I fully expect a nerf given the damage thresholds they have been showing via the last few nerfs. 2** 14 green net damage is 4k. 3*** 19 green net damage is almost 10k. Don't tell me that looks right to you. That is a 4**** lvl skill if even.

Eh, I don't see the grey suit one happening. I'm biased because I really like using her, though.

She's kind of a squishy one trick pony that's awful on defense. I think the devs like the idea of having glass cannon type of characters. While C Storm got a nerf, she still fits that description pretty nicely with her blue ability.

And honestly I feel like no one has ever complained about her, even before Rags was made to be more fun.

And rightfully so, she isn't scary and/or annoying defensively and that was always the complaint about Rags and Wolviethor.


But I don't feel like a lot of people complain about Spidey either and little to none about Mags so who knows!

I still use mags on every team. If he gets nerfed I think it will be his red spamming ability and the damage per swap on the purple. But your right about not seeing him much hope that changes.

To the original person who posted this. Put in to Punisher. The hulk only has relay one skill so not very fun to play with

He's my only max three color three star but I don't use him a whole lot. Depends on who is buffed in a tourney and who works well with them.

Haven't used him or any of my 100+ level characters by choice in the current pve.

well.. sorry but with the update of boost price. don't try avenger elite. don't sell ur thorverine. for a measly iso. u can get that amount of iso just playing the shield training for 2hours. just save it for another tourney

avenger elite is non bracketed, to be at top 100, u need considerable time and hp/boost. the reward is not worth it.
only top 10 ranker is gonna be happy.

without boost price change, most of us can get at least top 25 in normal bracketed tourney. but with this non bracketed...it's gonna drain ur hp/money for nothing

Without the mag nerf I would agree with you. If they nerf magneto then you are talking about the next strongest move after her 9900/19 or ~521 (nit including broken tiles) damage per an ap probably being whatever they nerf magneto's to. Right now magneto does around 600*8 4800/10 or 480 avg damage per an ap...max around 780 per hp. If they only drop his max swaps then I could see her maybe not being nerfed. If they drop the actual damage though? 8 isnt even really the true avg as mag is constantly knocking blue off the board...you usually have to wait a few turns to get a strong purple.cast. widow has none of that. Her disadvantage is merely the ap cost.

Were ppl really complaining about magneto? I don't think so. I think the devs just realized his damage was outside of thier new strategy zone and so he was placed on the nerf docket. I mean, it will depend on what happens to magneto. If he is drop kicked, expect a nerf and surly so to gsbw. If it really is only a tweak to his blue, a change to his red, and a correction to the purple then yea...grey suit may be safe.

Side note: I don't think they nerfed anyone due to defensive abilities...they did it due to them damaging so fast/well that they didn't take damage and made the game too easy. I see that as thier goal for all the nerfs...reigning in damage so the games aren't as fast/easy ...money reasons. I love the idea of glass cannons...and if they wanted to make mag and grey suit around hood lvl hp I would be fine with that. I don't think the devs like that though because it allows for things like boosts to make it easier to take nearly no damage whatsoevver before ending a match.
