UI skew

Well, skewing is trendy but can we have option to remove it? My eyes and head start to ache after a few seconds of looking at events list. Also, is it only me or is game game board skewed a little too or are my eyes just playing trick on me after this horrible events screen?

Yeah, I don't like the skewing either. It feels off for some reason.
  • The skew stinks. I feel like it's 90s style tilted for no good reason but to appear "edgy". Find myself tilting my phone.
  • Said the same an hour age in suggestions. It made me feel uneasy. As long as I can't get the old look back (especially in-game the board-messing banners), I will not start the game. (Weird that with all the other pissing off moves this one is that actually turned showstopper.)

Now imagine that on real screen sitting on desktop. It appears to force tilting the neck along or something to that effect with dire consequences.
  • Same here. So many changes that need to be made (drop rates, balancing rewards, matchmaking algorithm) but hey, let´s skew the whole thing, young people like skewed stuff, right?
  • Jesus, I didn't even notice till you said something. Now that's all I see. I feel all woogie. icon_eek.gif This smiley sums up how my eyeballs feel.
  • Yeah, it's proper vile. Also on desktop I keep wanting to be able to look round those awful zippy new middle-of-the-screen banners that are even more intrusive than the old ones. I'll probably get used to it, though. They do seem to have sped some things up a bit, which might even be where the hitchy animation between the last patch and this was coming from.

I do want to know who the drooling idiot who sits in the corner fiddling uselessly with the interface from one patch to the next is. You'd think they'd have other priorities. Is it the guy who wrote the difficulty scaling, and they're afraid to let him near anything else he might clusterkitty like that?

If you're going to fiddle with the interface, put a R10 Y09 G12 Blu08 P06 Bla13 readout along the bottom of the board. There's enough skills that care how many tiles of a particular color are up that this'd actually be helpful.

Thanks man. I was in a bad mood (went to the gym, forgot shielding, dropped from 700 to 490, 6th to 149th in a couple of hours), then got home, saw the nerfs, the changes..

    I needed a good laugh. icon_e_smile.gif

Many game companies do hire somebody to focus on the game interface. I don't know about in an Android game, but in larger games it's a full-time job while the game's in development, for a few months at least. I'd assume there actually is somebody on the dev team assigned to work on the interface in addition to other "artsy" duties. It's a different skill set entirely to work on scripting and behind-the-scenes number crunching. So they can and probably are working on both things at the same time.

LOL. I was about to write the same thing. When I first saw it, I felt a compulsion to tilt my head. Maybe there are other secret messages in the patterns of tiles, like

"Spend on shields. Shields are good. The new 2* Wolverine is awesome".

Say that with a heavy spooky voice and then tell me you don't think it is possible. icon_e_biggrin.gif

Yeah, the skew is pretty awful. Someone had their first day with Photoshop this week.

Thick as Thieves has made me bitter, sorry.
