Anyone figured out their dream team yet?

What characters are you using and why are you pairing them?

  • Currently:

    Iron man for heavy hitting
Black widow for stunning and stealing
    Storm for damage over time
  • X-Force wolvie as tank
    Modern Storm for DOT
Magneto because none of his colors clash with the others.

    or

Reg. Wolverine for damage and he's self healing which is great
Classic Storm in case you're up against a group that hits hard
And someone to stand around and look pretty.
  • Currently for me Thor and Iron Man seem to be able to deal lotsa damage. Even Though mostly same colors. And Classic Storm wel you cant pass up on that elemental barrier.
  • I'm hesitant to post this, because to do so may be to ensure that it will be nerfed. Oh well.

    Thor / Classic Spider-Man / Venom

First of all, you've got 100% color coverage, and minimal redundancy. Thor has RGY, Spidey has YU, Venom has PB. You're going to get points of all colors, even if you're "aiming" for others, just because of match-4s, cascades, and locked up boards. It's important not to squander resources. (Also, the environment skill in the Forest is just beautiful with this team.)

Second, all three characters have good HP totals. Much as I love Storm and the various Widow variants, they can't take a punch.

Third, you get insane synergies. Venom's stuns create web tiles, which enhance Spidey's stuns and heals. Spidey's stuns are cheap and efficient, and stack enough web tiles that you can regularly just EAT someone with Venom. Spidey's heals are expensive, but hey, Thor's red strike (the cheapest of his skills) makes yellow tiles. Also, all of Thor's skills hit like... well... Thor.

Best of all, there's only one 3* character in the mix, so it's pretty easy on the wallet. You don't really need to take Spidey's heal past 5 - you should only need to heal twice a game, but the higher you raise his stun, the more efficient it becomes.

I'd considered this combo myself but don't have a classic spiderman to try it with; I wonder how bag man (spiderman) would work instead? Will have to take a look at his stats and see.
  • I leveled my bag man up to 3 before I got tired of him. I only had his one skill that increases enemy countdown tiles. It was useful for the first matches but I needed the iso so I sold him. icon_e_sad.gif I'm curious about what his other skills were though. I admit I never actually checked while I had the chance. lol

His "Switcheroo" ability can add lots of webs to the board so it would (in theory) be much easier to use Venom's devoir however Bag Man doesn't have a healing ability like classic Spiderman.
  • At 13 purple to create two web tiles versus 6 blue to create 1, 3* Spidey still wins for efficiency. And as Bag-Man is technically Peter Parker/Spider-Man, you can't have both Bag Man and 3* Spidey in the same squad at the same time.

True but if I'm reading it right, I believe at lvl 5 you can swap 4 at a time and possibly more at higher levels (provided there are also Strike and Protect tiles). Still, the heal classic Spider-Man has seems superior.
  • Am checking out bag man. The switcheroo got potential ya get too choose the tiles. Setup combos.....
  • Bag Man is only useful in PvE as most people don't have countdown tiles in PvP.

Spider Man can pop out web tiles for 2 Blue AP if you level up that skill (If you max it I think)

Spider Man and Venom go well together, if you can get enough web tiles on the board (I think it's 6) then you can use Venom's Devour skill and instantly kill an enemy. Plus, Venom makes green web tiles while Spider Man makes yellow, so less chance of them creating a match and wasting the web
  • You know what would help us come up with Dream Teams? D3 publishing all of the cover information (dmg/color, list of abilities, etc) somewhere online.

Look! There's forums here! How fortuitous... icon_e_wink.gif

I mean seriously...isn't that the 1st rule of CCGs- letting people know what they *could* get?
  • guys, if you want to know the skills for all the characters, just look at your opponents in the tournament.

For example: you want to know the skills for x-force wolvie,
    1. go to shield versus or tournament
    2. find an opponent with x-force wolvie, then fight them.
    3. At the screen where you choose your boost, tap on the x-force wolvie to see his attack stats and skill.
    4. Then tap back to tournament screen.

It's easy guys, just take a little work.
  • Bagman is useful against Magneto marvel now and Hawkeye modern.

I think his best skill is switcheroo, switching 2 of your chosen tiles and make it web tiles.

If you guys talking about dream team, there's more than 1 possibility here.

For example, if you have level 40 venom and level 40 spiderman classic, you can pretty much take on everyone.

For Spidey, at level 20, "all tied up" only cost 2 blue AP.
For Venom, at level 20, "devour" only take 3 web tiles to one-shot enemy.

So imagine if you use "all tied up" 3 times, and 1 time devour. Puff.... you can take out a level 40 ragnarok(i think he's got more than 5000 hp) with just one shot. cost you 6 blue AP and 12 black AP only.

This is just my calculation and experience from fighting venom and spidey, but it should be accurate.

Coz i had a hard time fighting spidey with full level on "all tied up" skill.
  • Yeah, a Spider Man with his blue skill maxed is super annoying to go against.

I believe the lvl 40 Ragnarok has over 7k HP.

Yikes! I'm not fighting anyone that strong yet but can't imagine that would be fun to be on the receiving side of.
  • I'm going to need to work on a dream team to defend against the Spidey/Venom combination. lol
  • If you vs a spider man/venom team kill spider man first
  • Damn. I wan a spidey ! Wanna check him out next to magneto 2* with venom or thor next to them. But I see him in the rewards just a lil above the points I am able to gather.

I got magneto classic and Now versions

but I find the Now version more useful than the classic version.

He can make 3 blue tiles, almost assuring a critical combo and 1 more turn.

Paired with Classic Storm, I can spawn her AOE skill a lot.
