Yes, post patch the new refresh is level 80 for me.
  • I'm wondering if people are seeing two sets of data here. In my missions the levels aren't going up or down at all, which I think is probably the intended way. Sometimes I randomly see The Hood by himself in The Who, and other times he's with Ares and Ragnarok on the same mission.
  • Why aren't u guys fighting 230s tanking them down with your unused roster? It takes like ten minutes to reset them all down to their lowest level?

Can anyone confirm that post patch the opponents are not all 230s (who had all 230s before the patch)? That would be worthwhile for sure as I'm getting crushed!
I had all 230s before the patch, and a range of levels after.

But now they're back to level 230 across the board after just a few matches. TinyKitty this event.

I think I've done too many 230 matches. Tanking my entire lineup does not do much other than perhaps the on fight I tank if it is a low enough match.
  • When people say 'level 230' are they talking about the highest point one, or just in general? I've never had a problem with not being able to get the level 230 regular battles to something manageable (like, level 150). The highest point mission has almost always been level 230 for me.

Ya I kept trying to get the Hood to show by himself on my most recent pass but he refused to so I killed the lvl 80 trio. Now 230 Hood is back for the second go, he's easier anyways.

Just pulled down the update, got my covers from the last sub when I did.

I have nothin under 230 and tanking does not seem to help anymore.
  • I using OBW/Patch/Spiderman to clear the Villain chapter while Thor/Patch/Spiderman for the maggie and brotherhood
Since Thor Red skill has been nerf and only generate 3 yellow tide and require 3 RED ap... which is hard to denied the yellow tile countdown... so now its unpractical to use it anymore... but on the other hand its yellow skill able to generate 9 green ap... which i unable to match any since THERE is so less yellow tile in 5 match i am in which barely survive the battle with under 200 health but its fine...
well overall its depend luck.. quite stressful now to make sure all the tile are arrange according your order to denied any incoming countdown tile and also match the color you want..
but its not that hard to overcome all these difficult level as long you using OBW combo with Patch as OBW can steal opponent ap as well extend the countdown but i prefer use spidey 5 blue hehe

Not me. On the last sub I tanked the mission that gives u low level patch and OBW for free, so I only had to use one toon from my roster each time. I was able to get the last mission down to the low 40s downing less than fifteen-twenty toons.

same...I have tried tanking multiple times but I have cleared many at 230 anyway and I can't get any of the levels to drop even after 10 mins of tanking.. all levels are 230 guys, maggia and all.
  • Yeah. I had it at level 43, then scaled back up.
  • Every player has his/her own level of ability to play this (now ****) game. I believe most of the people as me depended on ''+3 AP to all'' iso buff which was being sold for 300iso till this ''****'' patch came out and made it being sold for 100HP. There is no problem at all nerfing and balancing characters out that's completely normal and necessary for that reason, however, making a critical in game buff being sold as real money buff in the middle of developing process of this game shows only one thing; they are greedy. Now, since their direction is towards this kind of attitude. this really makes players like me to stay away from the game. Anyway, this is probably my last post have fun all the good people out there.
  • The longer you go without tanking, the longer it will take to tank everything down.

For me, it takes about 5 retreats to tank down 1 level across the board for all missions. Doing this I can usually tank down the final mission in a board to level 90, which is cake.

The first sub i didn't know to tank, so i pushed through and fought a full board of 230s. Second Sub-event I tanked like crazy for about 30-40 minutes and got everything down to original levels.

I now complete 2 fights on every event (starting with the first mission, then the last mission twice, then work backwards.) and then tank everything back to normal levels to be ready for my next refresh, which takes about 10-15 minutes.

I had a good Spidey / Patch / OBW team .... and I could often beat the level 230 teams, but it was nerve-wracking without boosts.

With Version 47, Patch became much harder to play. I tried teaming him with Loki, and that worked wonderfully a few times, until Loki got insta-killed by Ares.

One unlucky cascade, and Ares insta-kills a few of my characters. The rest soon follow. What sort of game balance is it when the villains only need to get 6 or 9 of a color to do an instant kill against maxed/buffed characters?

So I heal up, and manage to get through a few more battles, and then another cascade of death. I don't have any heals left.

I tried to get the levels down from 230. I went through my entire roster, trying to beat the level 230 Ares team, but none of them could make a dent. The Ares AI easily slaughtered every team and every character I had, despite my best efforts. Iron Man 40 sure stands up fast after being killed! Faster than any other character. My entire roster of 35 characters is now a graveyard, with 20 consecutive losses ... and still, all the opponents are at level 230.

If I spend money to buy hero points, then I can buy a boost that get me through 3 fights, all level 230. Or if I wait a few hours, I can heal up a team that I can maybe win with if I don't face an unlucky cascade. The slightest bit of unluckiness, and I can't play for a few hours.

Well.... I used to play this game constantly, and spent money on it. If the devs wanted me to play less, they have been successful. All my characters are dead.

That's what I don't get, are they trying to make you play less, which therefore makes the game last longer, only because you don't play?

I think that's much of the danger with the Wolvie yellow nerf. You could take him out to another lesser battle and heal him up in between harder fights.

Unfair? Unbalancing? Perhaps. But it did allow you to play the game much longer then you could otherwise without spending real money to heal characters. At first I was understanding of that nerf, but after thinking about it more I think it will cause the middle range players that were heavily relying on that healing to play less then before. Which ultimately leads to people departing the game.

This is how Patch was always supposed to work. When they first revealed his power set I read it and thought "well there's a character I'l only use when he's required." Enemy strike tiles are one of the most dangerous things in the game, why would I bother leveling a character who gives them to the opposing team like candy?

Yeah Patch pretty much sucks, and without a lucky board he's useless. Six full strength strike tiles for the opposing team? Why in the world would you ever? Looking forward to Daredevil though, love his mechanic of damaging opponents on their own turn. That's brilliant.
