Developers non - interest

I've been reading a lot of the latest posts here over the last few days and it looks like the developers just aren't interested in positively progressing this game anymore
? There's a lot of angry people who seem to fell done over. Now I was thinking of spending some money to progress some cards and roster slots, is it worth It? I'm going from 2* to 3* however I don't think it's worth risking my money on something that's going to be unplayable soon anyway ? Especially how I've hit the 270 wall on pvp at 83 points and cannot progress past the 170 level ares on pve. Any better games out there similar to this ?
