Question of PvP-Battles regarding Points to reach

Hello,

this is my first post in this Forum so apologies if I do something wrong.

I Play the PvP-rounds where you can get some rewards if you reach a defined score while you get a quantity of Points each time you beat an enemy (precise: his 3 warriors).

I see often Players who are in top 10 of an Event being 300 to 500 Points ahead of my score. I wonder how they reach that amount of Points because the Points I am offered to win in a battle are 1 - 3, sometimes 5 Points. This means, some Player might Need to Play 100 Battles ore more to reach the amount of Points I often see. Is this really true or am I doing someting wrong?
Or is there a hint how to get more Points per battle?

Thanks

Maybe there is an Explanation how PvP works regarding the offer of Ponts to win, but I haven't found yet and English is not my native language so maybe I understand someting not completely right.

also, the further along the event goes, the more players enter the slices and the opponents get more varied. if you've climbed some, the opponents get tough towards the end of the event. its my experience that anything beyond a day or so out from the event ending its a crapshoot for what kind of opponents you get.
