    I'm actually looking for matches which I think I can win, instead of getting higher reward SHIELD points. Most of the time I am matched with higher level teams so I've got no choice but the hit the skip button. So I prefer not to have the skip tax unless matching system is improved.

    Unlikely, R47 has support for our PVP Tournament on Wednesday (nothing *new* there, but some PVP Tourney setup stuff is still client-side) so we'd either have no PVP Tournies and a broken Patch with Episode 3 more doable, or PVP Tournies and a fixed Patch with Episode 3 kinda broken till a re-run which'll naturally come with time as with all other episodes.

We're well aware of how substandard the experience has been with this Episode. Much like the first outing of rubber banding with Chapter 3 Heroic (10 points or 300), this one didn't work out as well in practice as it did with our smaller in-house QA/playtest bashing.

    Bag Man deserves to be beat up - he is wearing a Kick Me sign on his back! icon_lol.gif

    A second run isn't planned right away, no. It'll definitely be re-run in the future with better scaling, yes.

    I'm glad to hear that. I've been able to stay semi-competitive with constant boosts, but it isn't *fun*. Mostly, it's a matter of abusing un-nerfed Classic Spider-Man.
  • I actually like that the patch drops before The Thieves event ends, as I can really get a feel for how he is at max lvl and if I really wanna invest in him. Gotta save up for Colossus.
  • I wonder if this patch will address the frame rate issue that has shown up.

    Will there be a matchmaking fix to be able to progress in pvp?
    Pls inject points into the system, for instance letting us match shielded ppl with a higher chance.

    I agree with this 100%.

    I am not attempting to grind my way to the No 1 spot - I know I am not at that level yet. All I want to do is to enjoy the game and slowly work my way up the progression levels to gain some rewards. Constantly being matched against people 20 or more levels greater than my team forces me to skip until I find a match I think I can manage. For me a Skip cost every time I had to do this would remove the pvp fun and kill the game, esp as ISO-8 is hard to get in quantity anyway without taxing it in this way. In the same way having to Skip constantly to find someone vaguely at my level is annoying in itself but that is another issue (although a connected one).

    I too would like a coherent explanation that makes sense as to the advantages that applying a skip tax woudl bring. I am sure that as in real life the only benefit to any sort of tax is lining the pockets of whoever is doing the taxing. If I am wrong then I look forward to someone from the dev team explaining why.

    Also do the same.

    I could live with a skip tax that only is in effect if you want to skip an opponent that has a lower MMR rating than you.

    I don't even have a fully maxed **Team (actually only a 85 **Wolverine, 69 **Black Widow and then everyone else is 50 or below), but get paired to maxed teams all the time.

    I think I'd prefer it being paid to the person you finally choose to attack. He needs it more.

    That makes a certain amount of sense if you're skipping because of low tournament points, but it turns into a tithe to the manor lord if you're skipping because the team's too tough.

    Please see for the fair ans sensible order of deploying featires:

    1. good matchmaking
    2. matchmaking preference filters
    3. see them proved as actually good

    and once all that done, you may incur the cost/penalty to "exploit" the system, most people most time will not want really.

    The current state is light-years from that and not converging.

    I paid more attention to getting boosts in last day, they keep coming as ever before.

    DONT PRESS THE BUTTON!!! What an utterly despised change that will be. Can you coherently explain the positive effect a skip tax would have on anything but potentially the D3 profit margin?

    I see more potential to reducing the potential income margin -- people with sense of fairness will likely leave in disgust, and even if reverted further on, or made irrelevant due to other improvements, will not come back. One should be careful issuing low kicks.

    EDIT: okay that was a massive over generalization as I have actually lost friends to tragedy and a broken character getting patched isn't even close to that.... but still... oh man he's fun to play right now.

    Wrong request: patch shall be definitely fixed and also the tournament. That upleveling is also just a switch or a number, can be set to 0 or fragment value and root problem gone.

    Really? I use a boost, maybe 2 every 4-5 matches, hardly anything significant and all my AP boosts are at zero. I do get them from time to time but its very infrequent.
