lost it

Ok. Now I notice you lost me. While really trying multiple times last PVE. I ended up with 4 ares covers. Had a few lightnings qnd tourneys where I have held top spot about an hour before end of round. And ending up 100+. Tried really hard to get patch. Got close. But still top 10. All the heroes I did manage to gather are in line for nerf. I found myself just logging in once a day for daily reward. And even that is fading. It had potential.......

ArchJojo has been around long enough to know how to play the game.

It's fine to not be motivated to play anymore. 99.9% of games often don't hold a person's attention for THAT long, anyway - even coming up on 4 months is pretty impressive. Games are all about having fun, so if you're not having fun playing, then find something that will. Everybody has different definitions of what they enjoy doing, this game will be appealing to some and not to others.
  • Yeah, I feel my interest fading as well. It's been dying ever since the second round of Divine Champions when the PVP changes were implemented. I no longer have any desire to PVP, not the way it is currently. So that's Army of One out. They've borked the PVE as well, draining about 95% of the fun out of it and making it feel more like torture than a game. So that's Thick as Thieves out. And now they're charging to play in tournies, unbracketed. There's no incentive to play for those of us who don't already have top tier teams, lots of cash to spend on shields and boosts, and an excess of free time. Pay 300HP to play in a tourney that will most likely only earn us a recruit token? No thanks. So that's Avengers Elite out. And with the pain only expected to increase (Pay to skip, anyone? Nerfs to Wolvie and Thor?), the luster and promise have just leeched from the game.

At this point I'm convinced the people on the dev team have minimal experience developing games. Their designers need to maybe rethink their career choice.

I'm looking for a new Android game to obsess over. Anybody know of any they think are worthy contenders for the faded glory of MPQ? Another Marvel game would be preferable, as I've just been introduced to this world and have been eagerly devouring comics and watching movies to feed the interest awakened by this game.

I agree, I haven't touched my xbox for weeks, mainly because of the time I put into MPQ. I don't know what it is with this game, despite all the bugs, errors, nerfs, whines, and everything, I keep coming back for more. Sadly, it seems that less and less of the originals are, but the show must go on...

You forgot to mention S.H.I.E.L.D. training. That is also out since there is no way to reach rewards over 1500. LOL

That's because I wrote off SHIELD training about three months ago and forgot about it quite frankly lol

Took me about 6 days and then on the 7th I rested (I keed, I keed, true about the 6 days though). I've been playing for about 10 days and I've gone through Prologue, got some uncommon covers from Divine Champions and latest Army of One.

I barely touched the game today, seems like there's nothing interesting to do anymore. Nothing fun, really. Not with that PVE. Ah the times of Prologue and looking forward to having a decent uncommon, good times.
  • Yea I here you all I am about to bow out of this game for good an look for something else just wish I could give my account away no money needed just let someone else have it. See yall around
  • Thnx nemek. Problem is not that I do not like the game. Just that I been a bit behind you, polio, theladder and others and now feel that I nicely play along for days and then get slammed in the face in a few final minutes. Loosing out on the rewards that were on front of me and then the next tournement those rewards are kinda vital so you are beeing reminded of your previous failures again and again.

To get the 3* villains in the speed rounds you need a good 3* team. To get patch in pve. Ya need to have a patch or end up short on 6 or 7. If you work (and have money to spend) and are not able to attend the final minutes. Or finish all pve within 8 hours 4 times in a day. Well forget it. I liked it that good players could keep up with the payers. Now only the best, the cheaters and the payers got a lil chance.

I've felt some of those emotions recently, felt like I was falling back slightly from the top rungs, but I don't think I can blame it all on game changes. I've had to accept that new players have come through, the level of competition has risen and to keep up with that you have to adapt, continue to learn, reconsider strategy etc.

I'm surprised you have struggled lately, you were always up there in the early days. Hope you get back there somehow/sometime, but if not, good luck in the future.

    A random DumDum appears!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Avengers Elite tourney.

As for ArchJojo, only thing I can recommend is giving "slipstreaming" a try.
  • Mine ? Verry simple. I dunt pay. And had a hard time getting 350 gold together for another space. Soo after the entree fee of 300. Well I defended myself and did not read much further.

And I am master in slipstreaming. Just not enough no more...

Marvel Heroes is decent, and also f2p. Minimal pay to win, it's mostly in the pay for cosmetics camp (largely solo/co-op, anyway) but you can buy playable heroes. They're not cheap, but can be bought with reliable in-game drops. What they expect you to pay for is stash space and costumes, which can appear as random drops, but good luck with that.

Game consists mostly of grinding for hours on end for no really compelling reason, so you should be right at home if you enjoyed MPQ. It's a Diablo clone. You won't like it if you don't like those, but if you do and want something with this license it's worth a look. Had an incredibly shaky launch and was deservedly slammed in reviews as a result, but the developer's put a genuinely impressive amount of work into making it not suck since.

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check it out. Who doesn't like Diablo?

Edit: I downloaded the game client. Haven't had a chance to play yet. I'm also looking for an Android game. I looked on the Play store and only came up with Marvel War of Heroes, Avengers Alliance, and Marvel Pinball haha. Any of those good?

I would have preferred ISOs reward instead of HP reward but it's interesting. I'm not mad about it like some of the other forum members, but its because it caters to the upper guys. I can see people stuck with 2* characters not bothering though. It is a "rich gets richer" type of thing...but MPQ has been about that since the start.
  • i tried to login once the past week but it wanted me to update and i have no really awesome wifi available while i'm staying in a hotel so...

no playing for me. all these changers however don't really make me want to play regardless, nothing exciting yet
