Seriously, it was great. There was a legitimate diversity of teams, 4-star teams were hard but not impossible, and players with strong rosters were rewarded for effort instead of P2W in the form of the 2 strongest flavor of the month 4-stars. This is the single best change to this game to date.
As someone with a very deep 3* roster, but limited 4* covers, getting to 1000 points had become virtually impossible. Any combo I could come up with would get slaughtered instantly by the 700-800 point mark by hordes of X-forces + whatever. This pvp, it was difficult, but actually attainable. Thanks again. I truly cannot wait for this change to become permanent.

Congrats on getting to 1k . Not trying to be a **** but this quoted statement is exactly what is wrong with this change. You were able to get there because you were put on an even playing field with people who would normally outclass you because of their 4* characters. Whats the point of investing in 4*s if they are the same as buffed 3*s. This change makes collecting 4*s kinda pointless.0 -
Sooooooo....I'm assuming it's safe to hit you then?0

It keeps things interesting and if they keep rotating characters X-force will get his buff and be supreme ruler for those PVP's. Thoress is because of the nerf, not the PvP format and I'm sure she'd have been at the top pre-nerf still (X-force unbuffed is still at the top). So really this format is good for everyone, the landscape of it is changed due to nerfing not that it's a bad format.0 -

Not really. The 4* is always safe to use. The 3* boosted rotates, and this group is really an anomaly as far as strength goes. A group of say Falcon, GSBW, Beast, Squirrel, Colossus is probably not dethroning 4*s.
Of course, that all assumes that 4*s are good to begin with, which some of them are not.0 -

The format is certainly not good for me. 3 super buffed characters means the matches go on for longer and you take more damage. Climbing 200 points cost 5 health kits which means PvE will be much more difficult.0 -
I liked the format, but I had at least 4 of the boosted 3*s maxed. The only change I would like to see is to make the featured toon super buffed, but don't require them.0

But do we really wanna see a buffed xforce. That sounds like a nightmare of a pvp.0 -

That would be a terrible set of buffs.0 -
I don't know.. I wasn't a fan of Level 170 Ares with 10k health. That kinda sucked lol. But I have to admit I did see alot of different team comps that I have never seen before.0

I have to argue with you on the virtually impossible statement for 3*s. We have a member in our alliance who only had 1 maxed 3 star and was finding a way to hit 1k and now that he has a few more he hits it almost every time. That being said, I think he's more of the exception than the rule.
I do like this change so far as I'm finally breaking away from just using xforce/featured/4thor over and over and over again.0 -

I'm enjoying the new format but it hasn't been a positive change for me in terms of performance.
I was only able to break 900 after several push attempts and when I finally got there I was out of health packs again so I couldn't press further. The fact that I had a diverse roster mixed up the teams I used by a lot but the end result was a much more difficult time getting a lower score than I achieved normally.
I suppose this is what I get for using XF/Thor as a crutch for the last 4 months.
Again, good change for the game as a whole. I hope they keep it.0 -
I'm still sitting on the fence. I like the changes during the climb, you get much more diverse rosters, and climbing seems easier than before. Staying up, however seems to have become harder. YMMV, though.0

i like them.
Ive been using level 198 patch and 280 hood,
and when hood gets killed and patch gets low health i pull out the level 94 cstorm. and get a berserker out and then let them hit patch and then storm starts to roll out thousands of damage every turn.
thinking of switching her to 3,5,5 instead of her current 5,5,30 -
Not sure if I saw the diversity. Most of the teams i saw were patch/lazy Thor. Those who didnt have or were 2* rosters subbed in Hood or Ares. And there were still a few Xforces scattered in there but these characters comprised of over 90% of the teams I saw.0

That's a far cry from XF/Thor XF/Thor XF/Thor for every fight forever.0 -
This game is getting worse and worse. If I was a d3 publisher, I would ask myself, "Why are we making so many unnecessary changes to a formula that is working. I have almost no use for the 4* cards I just a couple of months ago got power capped and at a very high level. There's already plenty of covers boosted all the time in PvE and PvP to use plenty of my 55 cover roster. This PvP format needs to go. Whats the diversity here of facing non stop 10k hp Ares and some other random 2*s up until 500 then just seeing super hood/xforce or thor/torch. Its almost impossible to not get thrashed right after 500 now because everybody in the game has overboosted cards. If D3 is so worried about the rich players overtaking all the top rewards then why not take away the option to BUY EXP POINTS I.E. ISO8. Ffs this is just a time killer game now. I cant expect anything to be the same as it was the week before which has become ridiculous imo.0

Before the buff, I am pretty sure you were only seeing OBW and Thor/ Ares. Next week, if they buff Ms Marvel, and Baby Torch you will see them used more often.then just seeing super hood/xforce or thor/torch. Its almost impossible to not get thrashed right after 500 now because everybody in the game has overboosted cards. .
Prior to the rotating buffs, you mainly see Xforce and Thorina at the high end. Now the viable teams include Lthor, Hood, Loki and patch.
Isn't that more diversity to you?
I know you can't handle it now, but when you have the characters that are boosted you will find you have an easier time.0
