Hot Shots PVP Buff

So I started to play right away to see what would happen. Ares is 170 and he is damaging my Xforce and LazyThor hard. If this is the continued system, no more nerfs please. It is creating balance.

Thanks,

James

    What other characters are buffed!?
  • Torch, Patch, Lthor, Hood, Ares, 2* cap, jugs, im40, fury and professor x

    So two each of 1*, 2*, and 4* and 4 buffed 3*s

Torches buff is a little stronger than the other 3*s but there is a lot of power floating around. So far enjoying it greatly, ironically the one match I lost was vs torch, cyclops, and 4thor. Managed to kill the 3*s but by then only had patch left and 4thor stunned patch for 8 turns before smiting him. Almost not sorry she is losing some of that lockdown icon_e_wink.gif

Thanks! Patch & Ares ouch it's gonna hurt!
  • And i just double checked and Loki and IM40 are also buffed, so lots of 3*s
  • Although i'm usually critical of D3, so far i am enjoying this change. The buffs allow me to dust off characters that i usually wouldnt use when i could just rub XF 4hor. So far, so good.

  • It's OK ish, and they chose an interesting test pallette. But I feel like this unfairly punishes those of use with 270s, because 280 3* Thor is way better than any existing 4*. a 270 XF, and Thor for that matter, costs way way too much to consider benching them for flavor of the week. Although I guess if you have a 270 Fury you are alright. I was sad to see my Fury buffed from 70 to 75, so it is definitely no longer linear 3 for 2 progression.

I dunno, sometimes I think the Devs go around in circles on if they want 4*s to be a competitive edge vs shiny roster badges.

IDK Lerysh. i have a maxed XF & 4Hor and i havent touched them once in HT. Ive been having a blast Running Buffed Maxed Hood & Fury.

Im only in the 400 pt range right now, so i'll wait and see what i think once i start hitting players w rosters on par w mine. but again...for me...so far, so good.

  • This seems nothing short of hitting people once again, with unfinished rosters, whales still win while the average player who fought for a decent 3*team still loses in the end. With roster slots costing an arm and a leg for some the only ones who win are the devs, with this terrible system for most but great for a few.

How exactly dose the "average player with a decent 3* team" lose out to Thor/Patch/Hood/Loki all being buffed? Or does your decent team not have them on it? If not, it's not as decent as you think.

  • I'd say out of the 3* buffed list, The Hood, Loki, Patch, and Thor are all problematic for 3* in terms of how powerful they are for various different reasons, and if not for X Force being overwhelmingly stronger than anyone else they'd have definitely on the top of the rebalance list. So the fact that 4 of the broken 3*s beat say Nick Fury boosted to 320 doesn't bother me, because Nick Fury seems like a pretty balanced 4* so he shouldn't be able to beat an imbalanced 3*. Now what if you compare Nick Fury to HT? I think on a 1on1 basis Nick Fury would still win that fight even though it's going to be closer than what one might expect for a 4*, and HT is one of the strongest 3* that can still be considered as balanced so you're comparing a balanced 4* versus someone who is likely near the top of balanced character for 3*. Of course, there is only one 4* that can be considered not balanced on the overpowered side (X Force), but there are still quite a few 3* that aren't balanced relative to their own tier, so I do think 4*s are going to be marginalized outside of X Force in the forseeable future until the top 3*s are brought back inline. Or they can just not buff the obviously overpowered guys. I'm guessing the list we got this week intentionally picked all the broken 3*s to see that if that's enough to make them compete with 4*, since if even the strongest 3*s don't get used then they obviously know this isn't going to work either.
