will x-force hurt my scaling?

I could get x-force wolverine around 190 at 5/5/3 (and then eventually up to 270). Should I do this or will it hurt my PVP scaling too much?

I only play PVP

Thanks, I've read so much on scaling and I'm lost!!!

If you only play pvp, go for it... any scaling you may have heard about would only affect pve... In pvp you are only worried about the other teams roster

from what i read, it seems that the computer takes some of the matches you just played and figures out what the trivial, easy, normal, hard, deadly enemy levels should be. it does seem to keep in mind the average of some of your highest level characters in your roster. then, after the event starts, the level jump of the the enemies after each clear seems to mostly depend on how much life you entered and finished the matches with. there were a couple of times during past events where i had falcon, obw, and xforce just finish off goon nodes perfectly without taking a bit of damage. those goons eventually scaled to level 395. my highest was xforce, who was 180.

Scaling only applies to PvE, not PvP.

If you only play PvP, the thing that matter is your Match Making Rating (MMR), which is how the server figures out what an appropriate opponent for you is. Having a high level X-Force will eventually result in you having higher level player opponents, but it's also very dependent on your win/loss ratio, as well as how many points you're scoring in a PvP, and how highly you're placing. In other words, having a high level X-Force will increase your MMR somewhat, but conversely, having a high level X-Force will result in you being more able to deal with those high level opponents too, so it's only advantageous, in the end.

If you play PvE, then having a high level X-Force may very well scale up your enemy's levels. We think that it does depend on whether you actually play that X-Force in PvE or not. I've only recently acquired a high-ish level X-Force (level 200), and I've never played him in PvE events. Thus far, my scaling doesn't seem any different to what it was before I had him. I'll update if things change.
