  • It's not hard to place in the numbers if you are willing to spend HP on shields which is working as intended, not broken. Progression rewards need adjustment, that's what's broken. Lowering the cost of the shields for this was the right move, they were too costly in DC for sure. Smart shielding and progression to 1000 allows for close to evening out costs. I suggest they add a random 25 HP match win bonus along with the 140/70 ISO rewards since you clearly can't play as much in the current system.
  • Imo the new system is not as good but also not as pay2win. Shield **** spend dozens doing attack-shield-attack-shield-repeat. Now it's most effective to shield one time to effectively end the tourney earlier for you.

    I think I understand why they did it, anti-tanking and point inflation, and in some regards I like it better. However, once again the numbers need some serious tweaking. It's become too much a bit of a crapshoot.
  • It definitely seems like shields make you "invisible" to most teams. I was shielded yesterday and got hit twice, both retaliations, in a three hour period. I got the time wrong on when my shield would expire so I checked ten minutes after it had dropped and I was hit for ~130 by a full list of people. It certainly feels like the unshielded are getting thrown under the bus by matchmaking.

  • Well I guess this explains why I popped out of my shield for the last 5 minute hoping to get a few more points and got demolished.
