Considering a Boycott on DA Heroic

-Professor X is going to be essential. Yay, we all love essentials! The only thing better are 4* essentials!!! (sarcasm)
-The rewards are pretty junky. Like grinding top 50 for a new 4* cover? You'll love grinding top 20 for a new 3* cover! (again, sarcasm)
-It's heroic, no one likes those (actually, I don't mind them, but that does seem to be the general consensus around here)

So, what better time than now to vote displeasure on those subjects?

Meh, maybe I'll cave and just pick up some spare ISO. Who knows.

I hate Heroic events. Why spend all that time building a diverse, useful roster, only to have your hands tied by the event?!? it seems counterproductive. And, my alliance isn't going to finish The Hunt in top 50, and the scaling is so bad I won't get the cover on my own, so not only do I have to fight with a crippled roster, I can't even do the nodes that are worth the most points. It's like getting punished twice! First in The Hunt, for not getting Prof X, and then in the next event you get punished again for not earning the cover! UGH UGH UGH!!!

Rags blue is so bad that none of the veterans are going to grind top 20 for it to begin with: might want to reconsider the boycott for an event that actually matters.

Clear sub at open.
Clear sub at close.
Spend more time with my family.

Let's do a quick evaluation of this event, shall we? Required 4* for some nodes that only a fraction of a percent of the community even has one cover for? Check. Otherwise terrible 3* options? Check. Overscaled nodes featuring Ares and Juggs with red and green feeders? Check. Taking all that into consideration, giving this opportunity to "win" Rags covers a pass just sounds like a good idea. You can call it a boycott if you desire a greater sense of satisfaction, fighting the power and correcting social injustice and all that kind of stuff, but as long as you're doing something other than this event you're probably coming out ahead.

I urge you to boycott, and all other forum members to do so as well. I don't want to be a part of...competing against any of you for top 2. My 3/2/3 X-force desperately needs covers. BOOOO D3 for choosing Dark Avengers Heroic to dish out Rag's new cover to Top 20 only (but YAAYYY!! for choosing Dark Avengers Heroic and not using Top 10 as Rag's blue).

dude you should NEVER EVER say the Word you just said. Starts with a B and ends in a T. I did this on a few games years ago and you know what happened everytime. Even one time i was joking about it. Thats right my account was banned within a few days of posting it. They said if you want to say that your trying to take business away from them and they no longer want you on their servers. So i be very careful using that B word

i wouldnt boycott, just farm the progressions, get a few sub tokens and not give a flip about placement awards.

sure glad i didnt farm for a prof x. one of three essentials. what a slap in the face.

its cool to see all the 2* rosters in top 10. more power to em.

After a week long grind I'll enjoy the vacation. I was trying to do a single clear of each node for some iso. Funny thing is with such a pathetic roster you can use, I quickly lost any resolve to try a node again after loosing. The Juggs/ Daken / Venom or whatever booooring, terrible tiresome combo of dark averngers we fight for hours every day proved to eventually be a little too much for my fully covered and underleved DD, Mohawk and Torch...so either spend iso to level charecters I don't care about that are weak to grind nodes I hate playing....or kick back and enjoy real life.

Well, I know what I'm doing. Don't need more Rags covers to sell anyway. I honestly appreciate the worst pve in memory so I can take a truly relaxing break.

Not really a slap in the face since people who got his covers still have the covers they earned...and from word on the street a lot of those people won't be playing this pve anyway

We should not be negative all the time. After some thought, after the initial frustration, I decided that the devs are showing some positive traits. One of them is compassion. After a long and exhausting grind (actually, it only took me the last day, but let's move on) for a 4* PX, who will just take roster space for 1 year for most players who got him, they decided we needed a break and what better way to give it to us than a week long pve with a reward no one cares about. Those who don't need/want Rags will have more time to spend with their family, those who compulsively collect every cover they see will have higher chances for a good ranking, the 2* rosters feel kind of special with this pve so the new players also feel like winners (between the crazy scaling and the roster options they might have better chances than vets in this pve) and the gamblers, like myself, will let Lady Luck guide their steps and try a late join time. Everyone wins and we have the devs to thank for that. How often can/do we say this? So put a smile on your face and live your life however you want.

And of the three, the Wheelchair Charlie node has the least points.

Worthless rewards. I'm playing as casual as I can, hoping to get to the two heroic tokens so I can draw my two 2*'s and go home....

Considering the lack of rewards for effort, the fact PvE is better for newer people for covers and the cost of slots.

Heroics are a horrible gameplay concept. I thought I was doing good with 6 maxed 2* after 34 days and then run into this garbage of an event.

Hard enough to get 1 cover in PvP (have yet to get a top 100 because somehow after half a season and 2k points I'm a vet??) and then have the only reliable source of covers outside ddp be this???

Doesn't really make a person want to play the game at all...

I hope ppl are serious about sitting out, cuz that gives me a chance at making top 20. I'm not going to kill myself doing it. But considering that I have every character in the game in my roster, I have no problem doing a heroic event.

The event to boycott was the Prof X event, not this.

Slap in the face is getting to be so overused for any little thing now. They always have the newly introduced 4* as an essential in the next event, and usually for more nodes. At least this time it's only for one node.
