how long b4 a kicked member can rejoin?

An alliance member was kicked from our alliance last night,he already said he couldnt put up many pts for widows event so we agreed id get some1 else in just in case.whenever he tries to re join he cant get in and gets the message that he was recently kicked.whats the cooldown period for this?

24 hours if he was kicked. It's only 15 minutes if he removes himself.
