I did too. And I "liked" them all. We need all the help we can get, since watching match-3 gameplay ranks slightly ahead of watching someone else play a text based adventure game.0 -
Hope they lower that view limit, 1k seems unlikely until deadline...0

I would watch more, but then i realize how much fun it looks to play with 4Thor/X-force maxed out and realize that with my play habits I will not get to experience that.0

Yeah I'm not sure how we're going to get to 1k views.0 -
Not really aiming for 1k views, but wanted to record Elektra/Patch playing vs lvl 395.

Guardians of the Galaxy versus 3 bald guys. One is crippled, one is half blind, and they still almost beat me.

Ok, here's my video of rag+mnmags+cstorm vs lvl 335 covers in the Gauntlet

Winfinite with Cyclops + Mystique + MNMags in the final stage of The Gauntlet. They pulled it off even with a terrible starting board.

Thanks for posting your videos everyone!
We're discussing providing some consolation rewards for those that participate but don't make the full 1k views .0 -

It's still a long way off: May 31st. I'm almost halfway there, and at this point I'm more confident that I'll get 1000 views than I am that I'll still be playing in two months. I'm in charge of the (modest, not especially interesting) youtube channel for my workplace, and I've been using this challenge as a way to experiment with generating views without embarrassing myself or my company, only MPQ and my alias!
Some tips, for those who are interested: Make sure and fill out all the tags for your video. Single-word tags are better than full phrases ("marvel" "mpq" "superhero" "puzzlequest," even misspelled tags are better than long drawn out ones). Have plenty of text in both the title and the description of the video. If you just throw up a video called "mpq1234" and don't put a description or tags, it's not going to show up on anyone's search results or recommended videos.
Be sneaky but not too sneaky. If you verify your account (it's just youtube auto-texting a code to your phone), you can choose your own title image for your video. That way you can change it to something Marvel Superhero themed, instead of something Match 3 themed, which is going to attract a lot more idle curiosity. But if you change it to a picture of a woman in bikini (for example), you'll be flagged for trolling. Similarly, don't try to just hit refresh 1000 times. After 300 views, your video will go into arbitration, and it will not show up as more than "300+" views until it's been confirmed that you've had at least that many legitimate viewers. After that, you can cautiously start hitting refresh on your own videos.
Create some playlists for your videos. I made a playlist for all the #mpqvideoclub submissions I could find. I also made one for "marvel superhero games" and one for "puzzle games." Of course my own video was the first one on all of them. Playlists show up separately in youtube search results, effectively allowing your video to show up twice in a single search.
It goes without saying that having an interesting video is better than having a boring one. Notamutant's are awesome, because he's regularly showing footage of characters that aren't even released yet; you can't really beat that. turul's are great for people who already know MPQ, because he uses interesting team combinations. I decided my niche was a Deadpool Daily tutorial for 2* players. Just randomly filming yourself playing the game isn't going to do much unless you have a huge social media backing.
Finally, I'm not entirely sure why I've spent this much time on a 1000 HP reward. Partly it's running an experiment to learn more about hinkey ways to get youtube views. Partly it's because the forums have been so negative in the past several weeks, and it's nice to do something positive. Also, because I want 1000 HP. I really want 1000 HP. Even though it's worth an amount of tine-for-money that's way less than I get paid by my workplace. Stupid games!0 -
