My Mysti and Danny aren't leveled enough to care.

    Don't have Thor.

Rags now steamrolls me even harder in PvE.

Magneto's nerf has LITERALLY destroyed my hopes of completing most of the highest goon nodes in PvE and EVERY Deadpool enchilada. I am truly devastated by that one, since I use StormHawkNeto on those. Such an unnecessary change, when many other options were available. And who in their right mind would nerf a 2* in the first place???????? lol.
  • Same here, the MMags change is terrible. I certainly hope the devs rethink it. Mystique needs to be rebalanced if they're worried about the winfinite combo.

Thor needed a nerf. But they over did it now she is too weak.
IF needed a nerf. They did it right
    2* Mags didn't need a nerf
    Mystique didn't need a nerf
Those two were nerfed because Prof X made their combo work too well. Without Xaiver the winfinite combo is too slow to be worth anything, expect in the gauntlet.
So because a new character makes an old combo too good the old characters get nerfed. Makes perfect sense devs /sarcasm

It's probably still too early to say, since the changes haven't arrived yet, but I voted as follows:

    Thor: Bad.
My Thor is 1/1/1, so I don't have too much experience using her outside of the Anniversary Lightning Rounds but I've fought enough to understand the principles behind her moveset. For the most part, I'm actually undecided on this set of changes, however I ultimately believe that this character rework was handled in completely the wrong way for each of her abilities.

I still don't think demiurge have costed Charged Tiles correctly, and I don't think they're really sure of what archetype of character 4* Thor is supposed to be. As a result, Thor has been left in limbo, with the expectation that additional Charged Tile generators will support her movepool.

    Ragnarok: Undecided.
Definitely have to actually play with all the new abilities to really get an understanding of these changes. At a glance, he's no Loki. I liked Ragnarok as a board disruptor, he had great cascade potential. I get the impression that the updated Ragnarok will get filed under "designers aren't quite sure what archetype of character this is" just like 4* Thor.

I'll be interested to see if there's any strategy that uses Lightning Rod to try and accelerate Green for X-Force Wolverine. Ragnarok will still have a lot of health, and someone who can spend Red and Blue, and the potential to fuel Green certainly ticks a lot of the right boxes for pairing with Wolverine.

    Iron Fist: Good...
...but I don't think it was the "nerf" that Iron Fist needed. Ultimately, this round of nerfs was designed to target tile generation, so it was the tile generating ability that they targeted. I would have preferred to see his Purple left unchanged but have his Passive gated behind the same required 12 AP that his other abilities use.

I spent HP to buy the remaining covers I needed to get Purple and Black abilities covered, and I don't regret it. He will still be able to accelerate Black, and he will still generate an attack tile. For people boosting +3 all, +3 green/black, +3 blue/purple I don't think there will be any noticeable slowness.

    Magneto: Good.
Magneto's Blue ability has never been his selling point. Polarity Shift was used to accelerate other characters' blue powers. Conversely, his red is pretty good, and being able to fire that off more often makes him a decent 2* AP battery.

Alternatively, this ability could have been left exactly the same and changed to Yellow - then it can't winfinite and both versions of Magneto would share the same colours. (Why does villain Magneto have the "good" colour of Yellow and the good version of Magneto have the "sinister" colour of Purple?)

    Mystique: Bad.
While my Mystique has more covers than Thor, this is another character that I'm not too familiar with.

It seems obvious that even her original Infiltration is weaker than other tile generation abilities, so the decision to nerf this really boggles the mind. Switching the colours of Shapeshift and Infiltration would have been just as effective. Demiurge_Miles seems to have suggested that they prefer numbers tweaks rather than "game mechanics" tweaks - because ability covers are a game mechanic, yo - and so this is even more of a bizarre change considering it comes alongside the Ragnarok changes.
