What next (** transition)

I'm close to being there with my *** team. At least starting to have one. I run the usual ** combos in pvp and pve to achieve modest results, usually getting the progression rewards in pve and occasionally cracking top 100 in pvp. I use ** Daken, Wolvie, Ares, OBW, Thor, Torch and Stormneto depending on the situation.

I now have two *** characters with 9 covers. Luke Cage is 3-3-3 and Blade is 5-3-1. Blade has stayed at lvl 102 to let Daken tank for him, Luke Cage is maxed at 114.

My other *** of note

Hood 512
Sentry 502
Mohawk 124
Thor 321
Patch 222
Spider-Man 303
Doom 321
Loki 213
Daredevil 104
Hulk 500
Magneto 221
Punisher 211
Captain Marvel 103
Falcon 301

I've used a variety now with Blade and Cage in pvp - I've enjoyed Doom and Loki. What I guess I'd want using those two would be an active green user that moved things along. I've been using Ares and **Wolverine and it keeps me churning out some damage. I like having 8 Hood covers, but I've got the wrong ones. Mohawk could be ok, and her green is decent, but if I'm building up strike tiles and her only use for me would be green, that's counter-productive (and I'd hate having three black users, tough overlap there). Patch's yellow conflicts with Cage's best offense ability, although his red and green make me happy. It just would leave Cage as a shielder and nothing else. Thor's best ability is his yellow feeding his green, giving me the same problem as with Patch. . .

Where should I make my effort? Honestly, it's most likely going to be whatever shows up from Deadpool's Daily.

It's funny, I think Punisher would work for what I want, maybe Torch, Groot might be ok, I know people say Gamora sucks, but she has a super fast red that is a nice fast dump if I'm forced to take it depending on my opponents, Fist would be good. . . and I only have 2 or 3 of all these covers. I guess I could just level Blade up some and keep using either **Wolvie/Ares/Thor/Torch as my red/green dmg. I'd need to respec Torch back to 535, but those are options.

  • I've been having a lot of fun lately with Blade/Cage/Falcon - you get nothing from Red, but I like Blade making strike tiles for Falcon to upgrade on the red tiles.

Patch's Yellow is Passive, so I don't consider that overlap with Cage. Falcon is the same way.

I find Patch and Cage to be an excellent tag team as their passives complement each other. Are you concerned Patch won't get to heal as there will be too little yellow on board?
In the Sticks and Stones PvP I played Cage, Daken and Blade to great effect. No active green but at least Blade has decent green damage. Could be worth trying with 2* Daken too I think.
  • Thanks.

I'll lean Patch. My concern with him is that one of his main attributes is self-healing, but if I'm working on Luke's Uppercut I'm not getting that, but I might be over-analyzing it. I wouldn't mind trying Falcon or L-Daken with Cage/Blade, but I'm pretty far behind on covers for them. I'll stick with **Wolverine and Daken to see how it goes.

I guess what will happen is I'm going to end up using whatever *** Green/Red user gets covers first, but I wouldn't mind Patch.

Patch gets a huge jump in playability when you get that fifth Yellow cover so he heals every turn regardless of the board.

That helps a lot. Need three yellow covers now...
