Good bye MPQ

So this weekend I was actually trying to get the progression rewards for the simulators, and I figured out how frustrating the game is. The haves and have nots will always be there. I think the f2p players who started a year ago could reasonably advance in tune to the whales, but now it is not so. The scaling is out of whack. The easy sim nodes with 70-90 level characters were typically beating my 134-190 boosted characters. The constant grind to get a new character or get left behind has actually made this game more work than fun. After getting the character, it takes almost 6-9 months to make them useful so you might as well trash that character for one that has decent covers to make them useful now. I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I finally put the game down. If its not fun, I don't need to play it. Good luck all.

  • I do understand your frustrations, good luck out there, go enjoy some sunshine.
  • Good luck with what ever game you transition to. I was fortunate enough to find this forum as I started playing MPQ a few months ago. Upon delving into the threads I realized there was a lot of frustration on all levels of players be it scaling, F2P versus Whales, AI cascades, etc. When I first started playing I was able to get a top 5 in the PVE event at that time (mostly out of pure luck I imagine) and thought I was going to place that high from then on. I soon realized this was not the case, since you have to grind like a mad man to stay at that level. My philosophy has been to play at my own pace and not stress out about top bill rankings, etc. I complete the nodes, get the rewards and if I feel so incline I will grind to the final reward. My stress level has definitely gone down since taking this approach. DDQ was made for me in that sense. I push through those nodes, get my cover and call it day most of the time (I know not everyone has the heroes for this event all the time.) I used some gift cards from Xmas to really get my roster built up to what it is now, although I do occasionally spend 20 bucks here and there on ISO or tokens when I feel like it. You don't need to have every character in the game to enjoy it, I have gotten rid of numerous characters as OP pointed out that would take too long to even level up. Just remember people, it's just a game...have fun. icon_e_biggrin.gif
