Being a merc and time slices

Hi folks,

I have a question about time slices and being a hero for hire for a pvp event. I was hoping someone might know the details.

I joined the first time slice of the pvp event. I was considering joining an alliance as a merc to shoot for the top100 ally cover. What happens if I join a new alliance AFTER my time slice has already finished (but there are still other slices going)? Would my pvp points still be assigned to the new alliance? Would I get the corresponding alliance rewards at the very end?

Alliance rewards are distributed to those that are in the alliance when the event is over, not when a time slice is over, other than time slice 5
