    Based on what I've seen with my own character, and facing others - it reinforces what I've said before... These new politically correct characters are generally overpowered compared to most older ones.

    On a whim I kept Cage and now I have him decently covered and note in this tournament I see that he is a real hoss. I note that the Iron Fist in the simulator is a real bastard to fight, and I myself have a well covered one which reflects this.

    It seems that defensive powers ( generating a protect or attack tile or stealing AP ) are way overpowered compared to normal offensive ones.

    it's the other way around, strike tiles are OP, offense is OP. Don't get it twisted.

    After getting to 40th in Fist Bump (and that was difficult considering I had to get over 900 just do to that!), I was able to bring my Cage to a 5-3-5 build. Now I'm stuck in a dilemma - if/when I can get the 900 prog reward with a maxed Cage, do I respec to 5-4-4 with the intention of going 5-5-3? I don't think I'd want to weakin' my black that much, but unless I can pull a Cage Red from a token, how long will it be before I can get that 5th red? It would expire before I can do both. Keep in mind, I haven't bought a cover ever and am trying very hard not to....

    Any advice is welcome - but only relevant advice will be considered icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Thanks! I must have butt-chosen the entrance time for this PVP on my phone, so this is helpful to confirm my guess at being in Slice 3.

    This is the first event I have had where I had the featured character leveled up (114 LC - 3/3/3), and boy does it make a huge difference. I think my best PvP score to date is a little over 600, and I'm thinking I can probably get that 800 pt token.

    What kind of score do you need to get top 25 usually?

    It varies, depending on your time slice and the bracket you happened to be put in. I've seen as low as 700 and high up to mid-900 or even 1k.

    Currently shielded at 734, #23. Was too afraid to try to winfinite up to 800. It's a lot faster with a buffed LC, but still risky. I'll check back closer to the end, if I can queue up a couple 40 pointers and am within 80 pts I will break and go for it.

    Unshielded, fought a match. Finished it to find two losses. Fought a match...the moment I finished that match, the guy who I hit registered a win against me. I retaliated, winning again, and once more the moment I got out of the match it showed that he hit and beat me again.

    Coincidence is a terrible thing. Makes me want to make a tin foil hat, but I know it's just bad luck. icon_razz.gif

    Oh, man, that beefed-up protect tile! I just climbed up to 500 points with MNMags and CStorm on a single health pack, and it was for Cage, no less! Sticks and Stones is climber's paradise.

    Looks like my 575 is going to hold on for about 80th. That makes back to back top 100s for me for the first time. Go go ** roster. Hooray Ares/Black Widow. Next time is DD and I only have 4 covers for him (I guess 5 now) so I might be able to do it 3x in a row.
