Secondary objectives

Could a simple addition like Match, Node, Sub-, Event or Season secondary objectives help to fix the rewards system? It seems simple enough and can target many perceived "balance" issues. There are too many possibilities to mention them all but I'm sure you can see the value after a few.... Clearing a node X number of times, Clear with X number of characters, clear with characters of a particular rarity, clear in X amount of time,clear with no AP use, clear at particular difficulty level, knock out X number of enemies in a single turn, Knock out X enemy first/last..... Ext. these rewards can range from minor to amazing and be simple to near impossible but can be completed at every stage in the game.

I suppose it could even be a (I hate to even say it because it's not exactly true) trophy system of sorts, or wrapped up into one.
