Do you put in your worst lineup when shielded?

Subject says it all.
I just put in a Thor 85, wolverine 6 and modern storm 1

  • never thought about this but recent discussions here seem to point to this being a good strategy.

Mine would be level 10 bag-man, level 12 hawkeye classic, level 16 magneto marvel now
  • Sorry for being new at this but how do you put the lineup?. I have always thought the computer does it randomly. And also is there a point in putting the worst lineup when the shield is up?
  • Does losing to opponents Lower your MMR (when your attacked). If so does the MMR get lowered when shielded?

Or does MMR only move when you yield/lose fights you engage in?

When you are shielded you don't lose points, so this allows others to build up points on your score while you're protected. In return you may have more opportunities to beat opponents worth 20+. (In theory people building up will have higher scores to kill)
It may or may not lower your MMR score for easier opponents
  • I always forget.

Usually I throw a shield up in disgust and anger when I come out of a battle and lose 100 points in mere seconds.

Losing while shielded does drop your mmr let me coninuously tank with my 2400'bag man team and win lots of lr
  • I was under the impression that it will use the last lineup you fought a battle with. Those people trying to promote others up the ladder will do a quick yield with a "bag" team then shield.
  • Have not shielded yet but what would be the strategy for getting the tank team in when you don't want to loose points? Attack a lower level team that you can beat with a weaker team but still have enough fire power to win?

EDIT - never mind - answered above - but still costs you some yield points.
  • No way. Make them earn it. icon_razz.gif

Putting in a weak lineup helps other players raise their score.

If you're shielding temporarily before making another push up the progression list, it can make sense, as you help to increase the overall score base of people you might attack later.

If you're shielding at the end to try to preserve your overall ranking, it's a bad idea.
