allow selecting defense roster in pvp

It couldn't be that hard to allow people to select which characters from their roster they want to set as active for defense on pvp matches. Depending on who is featured, people should have the ability to decide who they want to pair up to fight when challenged. Couldn't be that hard to add this feature.

    It isn't hard, so much as easy to exploit to reduce the cost effectiveness for the devs. All someone would need to do is set a difficult defense roster as their permanent defense (like say Falcon/Iron Fist) and that would cause an immediate reduction in the purchase of Shields. Second, you kind of do set your defense team when you attack someone. The team you used to attack becomes the red node the person you attacked is available to strike in return. Third, in the case of featured PvP, the featured character in your roster will always be chosen by default during a yellow defense. If you have a 166 featured character, congratulations for becoming difficult to mess with. Long story short, build your roster more.

    If you want a 2* wall of constant Classic Storm/Magneto Now/Lucky Hawkeye Speed Shots to make PvP less fun than it is already, by all means press on, but the current system was designed to make everything equal, not to indulge lazy competitiveness in people who can't buy a 3 hour shield in the closing hours or manage their points in honorable competition and not cheap walls.

    Not hard to do, but it's a bad idea. It'd let people exploit characters that are good on offense and **** on defense, with no downside to attacking with them. There's a reason why characters are balanced the way they are.

    I wouldn't mind if you get a chance to have your chosen defense team as a reward for using a variety of characters (the bigger the variety you use on offense the more likely you'll get your handpicked defense team) but that'd basically be a complete different game from what's happening right now so I sure don't expect that to happen anytime soon. It's okay to get to pick your defense if you give up something on offense. Otherwise all it does is make you see a lot of The Hood, Loki, and probably Iron Fists soon.
