... for throwing Sacrifice down to literally sacrifice himself and give me a victory on my fourth try at today's DDQ final node. Especially when I was down to one 460-health-point Ares with insufficient AP for any of his powers. You did me a solid, Robert. High five. I and Dr. Doom thank you.

Thanks to some advice from other ppl i am now using a 2* Storm/OBW/Thor combo and hardly get damaged while beating this nod.
    Very successful team comb.

I have used Wininfinite with blade for the last week and I am doing so well. Previously I was using falcon, obw, a wolvie and was having some trouble. Winfinite keeps the the goons from generating too many ap and I lay down nightstalker as soon as I get enough black. When it finally gets to the point where you don't enough blue or purple you just make a match or two and usually I have 4-5 nightstalker tiles to steal ap from the AI (mine is at 4 black so I steal 8 total per turn keeping their strongest color to minimum). I do boost my b/p to +3 for each ddq to kick start the ap generation but many times once I start the AI doesn't get another turn or maybe only a couple of turns throughout.

    Edit:

BTW both mystique and blade are 100 level and mnmags is 94 level.

    Blade, Lazy Cap, Falcon here.
With Blade's Black stealing AP and Falcon powering Blade's Purple & Red, it's a quick match.
Cap is there for Countdown tile management, his blue for stunning/shield tiles, and his red to drop the last goon of a wave to make sure that I get the first turn against non-goon waves.

I have been doing BP, Falcon, LThor. Getting to that final wave and just dropping RotP+CotS to clear it is fun.

Lcap, BP and guest (often falcon) was my steady go-to

Lately it's been patch ldaken and loki - finished the last one with this comba and loki had a couple hundred damage and that was it.

Going to try blade, ldaken and 3* thor next time

My standard team has been OBW and the 2* versions of Daken and Thor. I've had a day or two where it took multiple attempts thanks to bad starting boards, but they've pulled off the win every day.

I've settled with OBW/LCap/Ares. This morning I entered the last wave with only Cap and Ares both with less 1000hp but was at 30ap on red, green, yellow, and blue. I've lost OBW on previous wave so I couldn't neglect ap to the enemy team. Couldn't use Ares sunder but Caps shields help me finish the job. I really like this team which will only get better once I can target countdown tiles with the Cap. On most days I manage the node with only marginal damage.

I use the same team with a very similar strategy. Except my LCap is under covered so Falcon has to take care of the countdown tiles.

I wound up running today's with Cap, OBW, and my 5-1-0 X-force. Everything was going fine, until OBW got dinged just as the 3rd round was ending.

Thankfully, I had a ton of AP saved up, so I was able to roar "AW HECK NO" and destroy the 4th wave with extreme prejudice. I think they got off all of two matches.

Surprisingly, the issue for me today wasn't the last round... it was the FIRST round. I had problems getting those Strength In Numbers tiled cleared, and it was wreaking havoc on me.

Lazy Cap, Spiderman and either Xforce or Lazy Thor are my go-to wave node people. Spidey's protect tiles and healing keep you alive forever, Cap manages annoying tiles and Xf/Thor does all the damage. Thats when I feel like actually playing it out, otherwise I just cheese it with Magstique/Black Panther icon_e_wink.gif

Spidey is surprisingly useful in the new DDQ era. As is (are?) Rocket & Groot, if you have a few covers in yellow -- R&G can tank a couple of colors for you, and so long as they bend but don't break, can stick around by banging out a yellow match when they're low. And if you can spare the blue, those strike tiles can be game winners (especially if OBW is firing off Espionage for you).

I don't have any Lazys covered well enough to use. (My LCap, for example, only has 2 red covers.) Gotta get creative sometimes... icon_e_smile.gif
