  • It's interesting since the in game store sales are for just HP or just ISO..but the steam sales are a bit of both. Not sure which is the better deal.

    It turns out the way Steam regards DLC, you cannot buy any pack more than once - I just tried putting back in basket, and the option to "purchase for myself" is disabled with this note:
    *Your account already owns some of the above items, so you can’t purchase them again. You can purchase these items as a gift or adjust the contents of your cart to continue.

    Probably means anyone who bought them previously is out of luck, and looks like no-one can go berserk on them now.

    These are miles better value right now, with the huge discount.
    In £UK, it is £35 HP + £35 ISO for £25, while the store bonus is 'just' 25% more HP/ISO.

    I didn't expect it, but I've never bought such things on Steam before.
    For science, I'll try putting it in my basket tomorrow and see if it makes any difference (closing & reopening Steam didn't).

    Possibly it's a requirement of Steam? Don't know their policies towards virtual 'currencies' in general.
  • Huh, interesting. I'm surprised it limits you like that, honestly.
  • F2P "DLC" is always one-time-only on Steam. Warframe packs work the same way. I'm really hoping there's an announcement today that they're implementing cross-platform backup saving, because I really, really want to give them my money.
  • SO that's their plan.... nerf everything to the ground and sell HP and ISO to players who now need to build new chars. icon_lol.gif
    Anyway I don't really need HP... and ISO, even with the bonus, is still stupidly overpriced (approximately 700 ISO per euro... LOL).
    I'd be very open to buying some ISO at a fair price.

    Steam sales are way better. Even if you do not put any value to ISO you will still get more HP per euro.

    So with steam sale Avengers' battle kit you will get 2900 HP for 12,57 Euros meaning you will get 230,7 HP per €. Plus you get 8000 ISO for free.

    Compared to Logan's Loonies you will get 3625 HP for 17,99 Euros meaning you will get 201,5 Hp per €.
  • Thanks for the responses, the Euro and pounds threw me off so I had to do it for myself icon_e_wink.gif Even just considering the HP alone the steam sales are better deals when you add in the ISO it's pretty overwhelming. The only thing as has been said above, is that you can only get the steam packs once "ever". Which is a bit weird.

    In Steam
    ========
    SHIELD New Recruit Pack
    $3.39
    600HP 1500ISO
    6000HP 15,000 ISO *10 Extrapolation
    177HP/$

    Nick Fury's Doomsday Plan
    $33.99
    8500HP 25,000 ISO
    250HP/$

    In Game
    =======
    Bugle Pittance (cheapest)
    $1.99
    250HP
    125HP/$

    Stark Sale (most expensive)
    $99.99
    25,000HP
    250HP/$
  • The store bonus isn't really all that appealing. The normal dollar to in app currency exchange rate is pretty terrible. But the steam sale of 66% off is pretty reasonable. Also since you can only buy it once it doesn't feel as bad. That amount of HP should be enough for all the cover slots I'll need.
