Hand Ninja Timeshifting

This is a fairly minor nitpick... but it bugs the hell out of me.

In my game -- iPhone, for the record, as I don't know if this happens on the Steam version or Android version -- the effects that happen upon downing a Ninja of the Hand (e.g. the placement of attack tiles) animate BEFORE the actual tile-shift animation for the move that downs them. In any event with Gorgon and his goons, I spend about 10% of my time frantically jabbing my phone saying "HEY I SHIFTED THOSE" before it finally animates my move.

If the answer is "that's for gameplay purposes so that the placed tiles can be matched/eliminated by your match or any subsequent cascades"... well, so be it. But it bugs the hell out of me nonetheless!

  • It's very weird. But maybe the death of the enemy is somehow connected to their skills in such a way that it has to activate before they officially die? I mean, all other passives activate only if the character targeted lives through the attack.
