Rotating buffs tourney
This was kind of inspired by the buff 1 hero at a time thread but a completely different concept.
Typical tourney time is about 60 hours. We would use either 6 or 12 hour increments, though I prefer every 6 hours.
2 covers are randomly chosen to start out being buffed. IE Ragnarok and Bagman start with a +100% buff.
The 6 hour timer runs down, Ragnarok and Bagman lose their buff. You have 0 notice of who will be buffed next.
Now Storm M. And Invisible Woman are buffed. Timer runs out etc etc etc.
Encourages people to use all covers and buy lots of roster slots. Creates diversity in teams and opponents (might be a lot of similar matches in that 6 hours but not same fights endlessly). Focuses more on building up your entire deck rather than a "Top 3". Simple yet effective.

That resembles random sabacc if we go that route I'd also like the board turning sideways or upside-down every once in a while, or some tiles morph.
But I'm totally in favor of events featuring buffs on characters -- make them properly announced, scheduled, etc. This is not lottery but a strategy game. I do have most of the characters on roster, but most are unleveled due to ISO shortage. I decide where to put the iso based on prizes and such elements. Ad-hoc works badly.0
