Deadpool Daily Quests - Week Two - Feb 23-27
Since Ben Grimm suggested that we make a separate "Deadpool Daily Quests" for each week to keep the information more tidy and discussion of strategy for that week's battles more organized, I've put together this one, which will run from the 23rd of Feb (Yes, already passed, but still...) to the 27th, which will be the 5 day "week" of characters.
Main post will be updated each day with the enemies we'll be facing and the cover reward.
Covers for this week will be Spiderman (Yellow), Daredevil (Purple), Deadpool (Red), Gamora (Green) and She-Hulk (Blue)

Thanks for making this thread for this week!0

Given the current number of 3-star characters, and the assumed rotation, there is very real possibility of Deadpool: Whales Whales Whales being the reward on April Fools Day.0

I gotta say, the DDQ is turning out to be the most fun part of MPQ for me. Outside of the cover availability, the cover match takes some trial and error and thinking a few steps ahead during the match to be successful without boosts.
For Day Three:
Tried my usual OBW/MNMags/MHawkeye combo that has been working and couldn't get past the beginning of the second wave, because they'd have a ton of green since all three goons generate green . . . Ended up being successful with Stormhawk (140)/Hulk (104)/OBW. Emphasized matching purple and black, kept opponent ap low going into second wave, then kept board full of hailstorm tiles from there on out. Hulk was there to tank mainly, but fired off green before each hailstorm wave, and he ended up having 30 red to play with on the fourth wave, which he used to great effect on Squirrel Girl's dome piece.

I was able to get it down first try using Storm Mohawk (126) / OBW / MNThor, but Thor could have been replaced with almost anything. Storm/OBW carried me through the first three rounds by keeping the enemy AP low, building up my own reserves yet still doing consistent damage via Hailstorm. I only had to use an Anti-Gravity Disc to slow down countdown tiles once or twice, but otherwise was simple match damage through to the end. Even the Round 2 villains didn't do much with an empty AP pool upon arrival and taking 1500+ from Hailstorm. They were done before they could build up enough to cast anything. Final wave I was at 30 AP of all so just wiped them out by unloading all of Thor's fury so that they didn't get to take a turn.
I want to reiterate that the Daily Deadpool Quest has really reinvigorated my enthusiasm for Marvel Puzzle Quest in general. I got into the game just as it seemed they started dumping a billion new 3* heroes that has made it so brutal for me to try to transition. This has been a godsend in allowing an influx of 3* covers without requiring a huge grind while still giving a good Iso return as well. The main thing is that the fights are actually fun to boot. If D3 was targeting this mode at players in the midst of the 2* to 3* transition then I have to say they nailed it.0 -
Elektra/Squirrel Girl/Doom wins the prize of inflicting the most damage so far. Got rid of Doom early but Elektra kept dancing and stepping into the shadows and SG kept detonating squirrels.0

MagStorm(I hope no one's surprised)0 -
Played all 2* team Thor/OBW/Storm on the last node with Electra's Squirrelly Doom. Just collected all the ap I could except green, letting Thor tank any minor goon hits, ended waves with Thor's red or yellow, and any hero waves I just unloaded all the red at once to get more yellow, then used yellow to flood the board with green. Whenever I came close to or hit 30 green cstorm wipes half the board, refreshing ap supply and packing a pretty hard bit. Recon, windstorm, thor thor thor etc. Basically all the hero waves should barely get to make any moves at all. When Electra etc appeared they had 30 black ap. What a waste for them.0

Personally I used modern Thor (114), classic storm, and Marvel now Magneto. Use mags purple to build blue for storm plus drop a crit tile or two. Then wind storm damages entire enemy team. Thors call the storm drops a lot of team damage too.0

For day 4, I tried running Stormento + mHawkeye (all lvl 75) and it quickly went sideways as the Pistol countdowns resolved quicker than I could collect AP resulting in Stormneto going down at the start of wave 2.
Retreated and used up health packs to resurrect Stormento & went back at it with OBW in for mHawkeye along with iso-boosts across colors as insurance.
Definitely helped as I was able to delay countdowns several times in order to collect more AP. Entered wave 2 with significantly more AP but AI got the first move which was just a match since it had insufficient AP. A few Wind Storms later, wave 3 had me using minimally using powers to match get rid of countdown tiles & knockout the Muscle and Hitman. Once they were both gone, I hit the Don with just match damage while I collected what AP I could before Trap resolved. Wave 3 I had enough AP for 2 Wind Storms to stun Mohawk Storm and Beast since the Don left them with 30 AP in black & blue.
Used Magnetic Flux since it was the only power I had enough AP to use and had to make one match. Fortunately it was only IW so she just did her Force Bubble thing and made a match. MnMags red took her out so I was left with 3 turns to collect AP. Only needed 2 turns to finish off the AI with one last Wind Storm.
Team still took a fair amount of damage, the team was left with about half health in the end, primarily on the goon waves...darn Pistol/Suppressing Fire!0 -
In the first survival node, I was using my 1-star team of IM35, mBW and mStorm and didn't pay attention to how I finished off the first wave. I had recently used mStorm's Hailstorm, so when Squirrel Girl arrived her purple hurt....a lot. Oh well, I still won the node, even with Squirrel Girl obliterating Storm.
For the second survival node, I almost jokingly suggested earlier in the week that Deadpool's node would end up with IW, Beast & Bagman for a laugh. I was pleasantly surprised how close my joke was to the actual node
I'm really enjoying the daily quests. I think I would replay some of the nodes for 20 just because they're so interesting, at times.0 -

I vote all big enchilada wave 4s must contain IW and Beast - those sure were easier than this last day of this round with XF, DP, and DDvl. All three have some pretty damaging abilities.0

The best and only team I have used has been: Level 94 Ares (4/4/5), OBW (4/4/5), and Daken (3/5/5). I have only lost once since DDQ started.
Wave 1 & 3: Build Ares' Green, Red, Yellow to 30. Stealing is the key. Make sure to heal at the end of the each wave.
Wave 2 & 4: Unleash Ares' Yellow on the strongest enemy until he gets below 25% (depends on his health), use all 3 Red, then Green the remaining enemy. If by some chance Ares dies during this, Daken also has plenty of strike titles to play with.
I cannot think of any other team to use but I have also been so successful with it.0 -

This is my team too. I've lost twice with this one but haven't had all the essentials, but most. I basically do the same thing but I'm ok using green/blue along the way - helps soften them up. Then when ap hits 30, I can manage what I choose to use knowing what the board/stealing is about to give up to refill whatever I use. I also used stormneto and thor once - not near as effective, but it barely did the job after a tough board wiped my A team (had nothing but team up and black matches available). I like using 2 or 3 sunders to get ares health down then blast red. Today I managed health too well and was literally 1 health point away from the red bonus kicking in, so I had to down xf since they had a ton of green stored and then I managed the other ones, saved 2 reds for after ares took a match damage.0 -

My "go to" squad for every "Big Enchilada" has been 3* Capt. Marvel/OBW/MNThor - use OBW to steal AP and control countdowns, then save COTS for waves 2 and 4...I think I've only wiped once since DDQ started, and then I just "downgraded" Capt. Marvel from 3* to 2* and used Strategic Command to generate a useful Team-Up (high level Summon Demons).0
